Still Struggling to Get Traffic.

Hi

Folks

I've been trying to get into the internet marketing for 6 to 7 years now, I still struggle to get traffic to my website. I guess its cause I've always tried to just rank in the search engine.

Anyone could share some useful tips.

My website is based on selling YouTube views, it did appear in Google for how to get YouTube views then It disappeared.

Regards

Kevin

  • Hey Kev,

I think that's the problem my friend. You're focusing too much on Google which we all know isn't really all that friendly to our industry.

Why not try some of the solo ad options? There are so many vendors that target your niche that you could use to send your offer and get traffic instantly. How it converts will be based on your own site. But getting the traffic should be easy.

So give that a shot for a while. Try some different solo ad providers and see which gives you the best results.

You may also want to participate more in forums like this and others and let your signature put in some work for you as well.

    Hope this helps!

Hmm, somethings wrong here. If you know how to make videos go viral as per your sig, you should have no problem getting traffic to your website. And no offense, but if your site still isn't getting traffic after 6-7 years, it's because you haven't really tried....and that includes trying to get ranked in the search engines.

Just a few? How is that possible? I just made a website three days ago and it has been getting 30-40 views everyday and no it is not a special niche. To be honest, I have no idea where the traffic is coming from. Most of it is definitely coming from the Warrior Forum but other than that I have no idea.

Here are a few things that you can try to increase the amount of traffic to your website...

        1. Pay for it.

If you have a bit of extra cash this is a great option. Not all paid traffic campaigns are expensive. Google PPC seems to work quite well for people. Paying for traffic is the fastest way to get traffic.

        2. Do guest posts.

Not only do they build back links to your website but they bring in some additional traffic as well. I did a few already and so far the results are not spectacular but we will see.

        3. Social media.

Yes, you have probably heard this a million times. But you can bring in a lot of traffic from your social media accounts. Do you have a Twitter and Facebook page for your website? Make one. Build up the amount of follower/likes and make sure to link your social media accounts to your blog. If you have some extra cash consider promoting your Facebook page.

Give it some time. Focus on building links, content, and tweaking your homepage to increase conversions.

        Good luck!

Now I need to make a plan of action, which methods to use.

So many methods have been mentioned in this thread im wondering where I should start.

I want to start on one method master it and then start working on the next method.

          cheers

You can find some good solo ad providers on Safe Swaps. They have a really good feedback system so make sure you look at that. I would also advise you to look for reported sales in the feedback rather than just opt ins - this way you'll know their list includes actual buyers.

Thank you for the advice, is a solo ad basically a sales email?

I agree with Laura! Or look at the warriors for hire section: http://www.warriorforum.com/search.p...rchid=23295941

You can read the feedback from other warriors as well. I also agree that having different sources of traffic is always a good thing. But master one first, then move on to the others.

A solo ad is basically just an email you write that is sent to someone's list. You usually get to control the subject and message. Hope this helps.

There are a lot of marketers in the Facebook. You can create a facebook page for your website or if you are willing to spend some money, create an ad campaign at facebook. This way you can utilize facebook to drive traffic to your site.

You should also add a link in your signature here in WF and other forums where people would want to get views. Another thought - fiverr.com or seoclerks.com are a few more ways to get some sales. If you can't get traffic, hang out in places where people would need those services.

I'm sure you would get some sales from any of those.

Social is certainly a good place to focus, including YouTube. I have to ask, when you send views to YOUR YouTube vids, it doesn't help your rankings, thereby increasing traffic?

    It should.

Also, if you do a search for "traffic" here on the WF, you'll be slapped upside the head with ideas!! Lol

Fix yourself some coffee, or your fav drink, do the search, and take copious notes. Test the traffic sources (1 or 2 at a time) then narrow it down to maybe 2 or 3 you want to stick with.

Don't just focus on one traffic source. You just need to go with the other traffic sources like forums, social media, related blogs, etc. Youtube was also a great source of traffic, and I even used it for some of my niche sites. This is where most of you are having problems with traffic, and you should always go for multiple sources.

    Hi Kev
My strongest form of free traffic comes from Twitter I built up 50,000 followers in 3 months and got great response to my list from that, Google+ is also getting stronger for me, you can also get large amounts of traffic from posting on forums.

When you have got a few hundred on your list you can seek partners of similar size to do adswaps or autoresponder swaps.

If you have some spare cash solo ads or free WSO are great for traffic and list building.

    Good luck mate

Regarding Solo Ads, there is a monthly fee for Safe Swaps but you can find free information on this SITE. There are good reviews and comments but keep in mind that in some case prices have increased since then.

I would suggest you to have a fan page on Facebook and buttons on your site to social sites, at least Facebook and Twitter.

You can also learn more about traffic sources by clicking HERE or on the button below.

Ya you definitely don't want to rely on Google. If you are creating content on your site and putting in the time to rank your website for keywords, I would suggest to instead create tutorial videos on YouTube about topics that your customers are wondering about. Solve 1 problem per video and then have a call to action to go to your website or join your list

Well your site wasn't found on a blacklist and the ip wasn't found on a blacklist. I see no backlinks that would hurt you yet I can not get you in google on any keyword phrase I try.

You would do good to research social media marketing and start that. For your niche that is supporting the social media niche will be a great way to jumpstart.

Reddit would be a really good one as youtube videos.

I have suggested this in the past and will again, this works great. Has been around since the 90's and is used on youtube a lot now.
Find out what questions people have about buying youtube views.
Now make one new youtube account daily and name the channel with the keywords for the question. Make a 1 to 2 minute video answering that question.
Now write a 150 to 200 word description with the question in there at least three times. Also your website link.
Now drive some views to it.
Do this everyday with a different question, each will be unique and I promise it will work.

If your budget doesn't allow for Solo Ads at the moment, you might at least consider paying for the Safe Swaps membership and doing some AdSwaps with others. You might want to create a good landing and/or squeeze page with a free report or similar item on ranking YouTube videos. The OTO on exit of the page could be your services you are selling. If you don't want to push for the sale there, you could simply put them in an email list and upsell the services to them over the next few days after you have built some trust with them.

The AdSwaps are basically free. You might want to prime your list with a couple of Solo Ads to get it started, but there are plenty of people that are willing to swap lists with you and your numbers will increase.

I hope this helps in some way.

There are also lots of forums out there dedicated to building your Youtube network, you could advertise your service on there.

        Hi mate,

driving traffic is a process and takes time. The best thing is to have a very detailed traffic plan that you can follow each and every day but you gotta promise to yourself to be PERSISTENT and follow it at least for a month.

        Traffic methods vary, maybe this can help;

        -search engine submission,
        -writing articles
-press releases (distribute PR to PR networks)
-video marketing, create videos and submit them on video websites like Tubemodul
        -blog marketing
        -forum marketing
-create accounts on social media sites like facebook, twitter, linkedin
-Linkedin marketing(create your profile there, brand yourself)
        -podcasts
-create a hub of unique content on hubpages
-submit free ebooks(with your links inside) all over the net
        -viral campaigns with CloudFlood
        -Facebook ads

It would help if you gave some specifics. How *many* youtube views do you currently get? How much traffic do you get? What methods have you tried to get more traffic? etc.

Marlon Sanders has a traffic dashboard that can help you step-by-step. But, you have to get away from the Google dependance.

There are lots of ways to do that, but the best way is building your own list. It can be an email list, a facebook list, skype list, text list, but it has to be something that you build a little at a time. Then you build a relationship with the list, and give them what they want.

Zig Ziggler said that you will get what you want when you help enough other people get what they want.

    Hi Kevin,
Nowadays it is not enough to have a website and SEO. A lot has been said in the earlier comments but i think that your website needs as well a polish.
If you do solos as suggested earlier, it would be good to get the people to a squeeze page before they get transferred to your site. Offer them a goodie too.
You could record a video yourself ("how to ...." or "the secrets behind ....") with some value the people would be interested in. Your image would be very different and convert to more sales.

i sure hope you got an opt in form or some sort of list building going on there. trickles of traffic can amount to alot of potential leads over time. no point in having loads of traffic come to your site if you do not retain any. that said. 6 or 7 years is a long time to be on the net and not getting much done?
i would suggest blog commenting, forums, backlinking. or some fiverrr gigs.

I agree with don't rely solely Google to get traffic, it's too unpredictable. Have you ever tried paid traffic combined with a CPA offer in your niche?

With a landing page on your site you might do CPA marketing and gain traffic to your site at the same time. I will do PPC for its linking attributes. That's my 2 cents.

you focused too much on google, but there are lot more ways you can get visitors, if you can spend on banner ads, solo ads it will be good and they won't cost you high.

you can also write some good articles about your service and submit them on about 20 differnt sites

you can also make a short video on youtube, people also search their queries on youtube besides google
