Have You Ever Sell a Product that You Have No Idea About?

Have any of you sell (as in sell as the product owner, not affiliate) your product in a niche that you have no idea about?

I recently made a product in a niche (not IM) that I do not have complete understanding about. So I outsourced all my product creation to my writers, coders bla bla bla...

So, I'm just wondering if anyone of you do the same. If so, what are the challenges that you are facing?

No, I always make sure I know what I'm talking about in products I sell. If it's something I don't know anything about, I always read up on the subject first. I wouldn't feel comfortable doing it any other way.

As long as you know that you're providing value then I don't see a problem though I don't do it myself... it depends what you mean by 'no idea' It is said that reading 4 books on a subject means you know more than 90% of the population about said subject... and authors often don't know jack haha

To be honest I don't think any person on the planet ever had a complete understanding of anything... it's funny because people always try to convince others that they know what something is. I personally don't know what anything is I only know how it seems to me in this moment which by the way is always subject to change!

Wow, that's quite a risk you took. While you have writers/coders right now, what happens when you begin to run out of material? That's where the danger lies.

I don't want to sell half-baked information. And therefore, I usually write on something which I know quite good!
