Solo Ads- What do you make per user per month?

I have heard of solo ad sellers saying they get up to $3 per person, per month, from their list...only from solo ads.

This seemed a bit high to me, so I want to ask the experts...What is a realistic figure to make from you list? Per person, per month?

Too many variables to take into consideration, but most people generally say $1 per subscriber as a general rule of thumb.

Of-course a lot of things are variables here - obviously a list full of buyers, or a warm list with a relationship would/can be more nearer to the $3 figure you mentioned above.

i agree with josh, our subscriber value defines as how close our relationship with the subscriber and their lifetime value.

I do not hammer my lists. Very careful with them and we pull down $1 per month per subscriber.

Treat your list like crap and you won't see a penny from them. Treat them like the real people that they are and offer real value and you will see huge profits!

Recently I read a case study of a guy hammering his list. He'd mail them at least 6 times a day.

Basically he was doing Ad Swaps Until his list was over 10k, Then he'd also do solos.
He ended up getting 300 Unsubs a day, But gaining 800 new Ones. So its a Win:Win.

Granted Clicks and whatnot fell over time, but thats understandable from a huge list.

I found it quite interesting, as most people, as you said, take care of their list, and Don't spam the hell out of them with offers every two hours.
