Getting more traffic from article submission sites

INTERNET MARKETING

Pretty much everyone can agree that EzineArticles should be your first choice when submitting your articles. Reading over the various threads and posts here on WF, it seems less agreeable what next article submission site works best.

A lot of people have recommended GOArticles as the number 2 choice. I have a few articles posted on GOArticles. Over the last year I have seen very little traffic (if any clickthrus at all) from GOArticles. I wonder if I am doing something wrong there? I have had more success with ArticleBase, and ArticleDashboard.

What kind of traffic do you get from GOArticles? Are there any ideas to increase traffic from them. Since they are considered #2 by many, there must be a reason why.

Goarticles seems to have gone under. It use to be good but now it seems dead. It is the nature of business and online is no different. I think personally goarticles is dead. But this is good because a new one will take i'ts place..then that will go under. Same way a new one will challenge ezine or over take it in the future. I read yesterday that twitter will have a short shelf life and so will squidoo
Actually I have never seen a squidoo lens in a google search..maybe just what I search for.

  EzineArticle has the best traffic. But depending on your niche you might need to increase traffic to your article.
  
  The way I do it is with backlinks from bookmarking, blogs, web 2.0 sites, video, etc.
  
  I make sure each site is optimized for the keyword phrase I am going after.
  
  The article with the most backlinks wins.

  It depends a lot on your aims also. Goarticles allows links in the articles and they are posted quicker than most other directories. I have found that with other tactics like linking they get good rankings.
  I suggest you try to use ezinearticles, articledashboard and goarticles depending on your goals.

I would not center myself around one or 2 article directories.. Instead of spending the time trying to gifure out which one is better than they other just take the top 10 and submit to all of them... I am not a huge fan of EZA as most are because I see little traffic from them and the smaller article directories I see more traffic from.

This is not in any particular order - Just how I typed it out... There are also many others that actually do have traffic..

IdeaMarketers.com is my second choice and where I get a LOT
of traffic from. I submit not only articles, but press releases
and ebooks there too.

I did manage to get listed as their joint ventures expert too,
which is why Google now shows me #1 for the term
"joint venture expert" out of a LOT of competitors. That shows
the power of IdeaMarketers with Google.

I use automated submission software to submit to about a
dozen of my favorite places though, since some days I write
and submit as many as 8 articles.

  Of all the directories I've submitted to, only 2 bring the most visitors - the majority bring zip.
  
  searchwarp.com is good for me, along with EzineArticles but better. I think I got something from GoArticles but not to the extent it stands out from the others.
  
  It depends on what you're promoting, I think.
  
  IdeaMarketers is good if you're into internet marketing I think.
