direct linking

Hi all,
I have just tested my first affiliate campaign, I got 345 clicks and 50% hops but no sales, I have stopped this campaign. the problem was although it didnt cost me much to test this it took me about 4 weeks to set, learning php ,setting up a landing page etc.
I dont want to give up yet because I am sure I will find somthing that sells, I have been looking at testing with direct linking, then If I find a product that sell then setting up a landing page.
a few questions I would l;ike to ask is. 1. do I need a domain and hosting to do this. 2. if not (or if yes) how do I set this up in google adwords.

    Helen, I would not encourage direct linking for several reasons reasons. First it most likely would cost you way too much even to test. And second because you are not capturing email addresses. See the 170 or so people or maybe more for that matter would be on your list now and you could continue to sell them.
    So your probably thinking its a lot of work to set all this up if the product is a dud. This is true but you have to know how to find likely winners. You can get a pretty good idea on how much an adwords campaign will cost you and how profitable it might be when you know how. If I were you this is where I would start, researching how to analyze your potential market, product, cost, potential profit... This much home work really pays off and its really not hard to do.
