Anyone Having Trouble with AWeber over Satellite ISP?

Hi

I've just recently switched to a satellite ISP (from cellular which was getting too expensive - no other high speed options in our location).

I've adapted to the lag times for the most part. A bit frustrating still, but you do get used to it. It still beats dialup 8=)

But AWeber has been giving me problems with editing emails. It seems that their new block editor uses some JavaScript API that doesn't work well when signals get delayed. It will save a copy of what I'm working on every 2 minutes. When I hit save, it seems to save it (and it appears in the list of snapshots).

But when I get to the schedule page or followup timing page and try to "Save & Exit" it just hangs. If it does come up with an error message (which sometimes happens) then it says something about security software being a possible problem. But it isn't.

When I go back to the email list I will see the draft. Sometimes the email is saved (but not always) and the scheduling is not. Other times it all gets saved.

This happens in IE, Firefox and Chrome, so I know it isn't the browser. The firewall is set to allow all of them to come through.

Support gave me a link to a page to clear cookies and cache. That sometimes works, but not always. Even restarting the browser doesn't always work. And it is a pain to have to re-login all the time.

Support seems to be of the opinion that changing the timeout limits on the JavaScript would break things, so I doubt they'll do anything to fix this. Although as a programmer myself I don't understand how adding a couple seconds to a timeout would cause anything to go wrong. But I haven't got access (or time) to review their code.

So, is anyone else seeing these kinds of problems with AWeber? Are you using satellite? Or is there anyone who is using satellite and finds AWeber working fine?

I've tried using the old editor to do an email and it seems to work much better. And the form editor doesn't seem to be showing any problems. It seems to be related to the new email block style editor (which I'm not sure I like anyway 8=)
