I am new to ezine articles and I see they offer the premium membership. What has been your experience with it? Did it help you?

I've had an account for almost 2 months now. I love it. The reason is, i'm asleep when the articles are getting reviewed, so if there is an issue, i lose a day, when it's taking upwards of 10 days, it was getting pretty bad. That is why i paid for a subscription (and the only reason). I find it great, submit articles and they are up the next day.

IMO if your happy waiting 7-10 days then it is not really needed, unless you want to schedual publishing of articles.

powerspike that is a perfect review, i havent decided yet whether i want to do the membership there, because lately things are being taken care of quickly over there, but if they go back to the 7-10 days again, i might have to do it.

Okay, I got it, so if you are willing to wait 7-10 days, then don't buy it. I assume if you do buy it the release time is much faster. I may consider buying one month just to see how it works.

Always work ahead so you have articles in review and others
in process. That way, whether your articles go up in 1 or 7
days becomes irrelevant.

In my experience, none of my articles have ever taken more than
the 24-48 hours they say. In fact, they're usually up quicker.
Just last week my article was done on a Saturday - 12 hours
after I posted it. They don't work on Saturdays.

And mine very seldom come back with problems. A broken URL
and that's about it.

Learn the rules, don't try anything fancy, offer valuable content,
don't "promote", be original (ie: not rewritten PLR), no keyword
stuffing, and don't try to cheat the system. Then, every article
you write will make it through the first time.

Based on my real life experience at EA over 3 years.

Oh. And no affiliate links.

Thanks Sylvia. I am still at a point where I am submitting my very first article. It sounds to me that I need to watch carefully about the types of articles that are getting successfully submitted, and then develop a style around this. And it sounds like I need more articles for sure.

If that's where you are at then premium membership probably won't be worthwhile for you. You don't even know if your articles will pay for that membership.

You would want to be making a consistent income and submitting a large amount of articles daily for it to be worthwhile. I currently have premium but I submit 10+ per day and the scheduling feature is necessary for my article marketing strategy.

Yes, and for me, I am working with some specific products that I sell, so it is hard to imagine writing 10 articles per week, much less per day.

You don't need to be a paying member to submit 10+ articles a day.
Anyone can do that. The $97 simply gives you the option to schedule
when they get published, which is good for some people like Hamida.
Otherwise, you have to post one a day if you want them to go out like
that. With paid, you submit all at once and they go out on your schedule
rather than all at the same time.

Paying just frees you from the "burden" of having to post only when you
want them distributed.

Absolutely. Scheduling is the most important aspect of premium for me. I like to have a certain amount of articles going live at a particular time each day for optimum results. It also means that even though I'm going to be away from my computer for the next few days I'll still have articles going live each day. I also schedule articles for product launches or for particular events so that I can guarantee they'll be live when I want them to be.

I wouldn't pay anywhere near that price for the premium membership. It doesn't take much to earn a platinum membership (free). This membership level gets your articles reviewed and posted within 48 hours. If you are writing articles relating to an evergreen niche (which you should be if article marketing is your strategy) then the amount of time to get your article approved shouldn't really matter. Keep writing on a daily basis and you'll always have articles getting posted each day with more in the queue. The key to article marketing with EZA is to keep consistently producing content, not publishing in little bursts and having your articles published immediately.

I used to think that until I tested out a few strategies with premium membership. It's definitely a case of don't knock it until you've tried it. I've had platinum for a long time and I can honestly say that having premium has added at least $100 a day to my current earnings (I'd say that's worth $97 - although I've paid for quarterly so it's only $64.67 per month).

I do consistently produce content but depending on the time of the day your article goes live you can get hundreds of extra views per article - therefore giving you a better chance of getting to 'Most Viewed' which can result in thousands of extra views. I still focus on ranking well in the SEs, but I like to maximize my results by doing well in EZA too.

In my opinion, there are no tangible benefits to premium membership.

Your articles still have to be good enough to be accepted so the only thing
you're getting is faster approval.

So what?

Once you have a substantial number of articles out there and if you keep
writing everyday, what does it matter when the article gets approved unless
the article itself is on a time sensitive issue, like a news event that you
want to capitalize on?

If you're writing articles on dating or making money or whatever, it doesn't
mean a hill of beans if the article is approved today, tomorrow or next
week. Those, and most other subjects, are just not time sensitive enough
to make a difference.

Honestly, for that much money per month, it is probably one of the all
time most worthless memberships I have seen in over 6 years of being
online.

And that's saying something.

A premium account will be worth your while if you submit a lot of articles everyday so that you can schedule it to some future period of time, otherwise I don't see the point in it. A platinum account will get your articles reviewed in an extra 12 hours.

Paid memberships will get your articles
reviewed much faster, in a day or two,
so, if you are planning on submitting a lot of
content, it is better for you to get a premium account.

My articles tend to get approved in one or two days. Even if they were taking a week I doubt if I could justify the cost to have them approved more quickly.

Is there some other benefit that I'm missing?

Best Regards,

Hamish

Like Hamida said, being able to schedule exactly when the article comes out can be
very useful, especially if you're trying to promote something time sensitive, from a
teleseminar to whatever.

Also, if your article appears at certain times, it'll be in the New articles section much
longer, which gives it a lot more visibility. And that will lead to lots more views and clicks.

So is it worth it? I'm a Platinum author, and they do have fairly quick turnaround for
Platinum authors. But it can still take a couple of days. And there's NO way to be
sure you get your article approved before the start of the weekend or something, so
if I want mine to be the last one out so it'll sit at the top of the new articles list all
weekend long, the only way I can reasonably expect to make this happen is with
Premium.

And speaking of speed -- I've had some of my premium articles reviewed within about
12 minutes!!! That's pretty cool. Sometimes, they take a few hours though, but not
very often. Mostly, they get out within the hour.

So if I have an idea for a promotion and want to get an article out right away, having
premium helps (and gets me inspired too).

Two tips:

The biggest value of premium lies in helping marketers who are starting with EZA to
get to Platinum quickly -- that can be achieved in less than a week if you have a
Premium account AND submit quality articles. And then, you can decide whether
you want to keep it or not.

The other one -- it is much less expensive if you buy it for more than a month at a
time, so you may want to try to get their quarterly deal if possible. It's much better
value for the $.

Elisabeth

P.S.: I also find the fast answer feature very useful ;-)

Well, for me, I have no problem submitting my articles without premium
membership. I guess the real reason is that I can't write articles
fast enough to submit more than I can handle.
