Was Clickbank your very first affiliate marketing experience?

My very first exposure to affiliate marketing was Clickbank. I was so amazed at the fact that I just had to get people to a referral link, and if they sign up, I get paid!

Even though it's not currently a significant income stream, Amazon was the first affiliate marketing experience for me back in the day around the late 1990's

CB was my first effort, but I started earning decently with ShareASale and CJ.com. Ironically, now I'm doing fairly well with CB.

  My first touch with IM was Spiderweb Marketing System, one MLM program that I leave few months after I join. Next one was Clickbank and PayDotCom and then comes CPA MaxBounty, Neverblue and latest AdWorkMedia.
  I'm still with clickbank and combine affiliate and CPA marketing together and I completely leave MLM.

  No, the Marketplace was nearly empty in those days, few vendors, and even fewer decent ones. No membership sites, no recurring billing, no upsell, and I believe the maximum commission rate was 50%.

  I don't recall the year, but I joined the Amazon program back when you had to fill out an associate agreement on real, dead-tree paper, sign it, and return it to them to await approval.

I got my first affiliate commission from Clickbank. I failed in CJ, but I also earned income from Amazon. Right now, I still keep on getting commission from time to time from CB coming from my Blogger blog that I rarely visit.
