You mean a sub-niche for internet marketing? Like SEO, affiliate marketing, CPA; PPC, PPV, etc.? Any niche here under internet marketing are fine for you to start kicking things off.

I think that the most profitable niche for internet marketing is the IM niche.

Make Money Online is the hottest IM niche.

Software being the hottest product.

Are you asking for some profitable niche markets? There are lots of them. There's a saying that goes, "Where there's a magazine, there's a niche. " This is because lots of research goes into publishing magazines -- even the advertisements within them. Here are some common ones:

weight loss
make money
dating
sports
cooking
learn Spanish
electronics
toys
learn guitar
fashion
video games

The list goes on and on. If you wanted to break it down even further, you could use the Google keyword planner tool or go to somewhere like Clickbank and do a search for popular products within your chosen niche. You could also use a site like Amazon. For instance, golf is a very popular niche. If you were in fashion, you could break it down by sex or age group and so on.

Once you find a niche you like and know a little something about, you'll learn about the sub-niches within it. It will take some time and some research. You'll get the hang of it after a while, though.

This is a very valid point. For years i have made my living from niche markets. To be honest I have done really well from it, but the fact remains that many of these little niche markets or should I say the niche audience are usually good for just the one sale.

If I had started out in the IM/mmo or diet industry and put in the same work as I have done with my niche businesses I'm sure I would be a wealthier man today.

The thing with selling MMO & Diet products is the fact that the people who buy them (most) are serial buyers always looking for the easy route - Yep, they just keep buying the latest thing over and over.

On the flip side; little niche markets are profitable and easier to break into.

MMO The make money online niche is really hot.

Selling services and Softwares would be easier than any other thing on the planet IM. But it all depends how much you want to earn and how much time you can spend on this.

Try to search for 'evergreen' niches. There are a lot of niches under this category like health, beauty, money, relationship, etc. You may choose the best category for you. Try to pick a niche that you like or at least have a knowledge about. This way it will be easier for you to come up with content for your site and for your off page efforts.

The how to pick a niche niche is on fire...

From my experience, some profitable ones are dating and make money online.

The niches in which the most profits are collectively made by marketers and the niches in which you have the highest chance of making profits are normally mutually exclusive. They're just two completely different things.

Starting off from the premise that "the most profitable niches" are also the best ones to try is a way of stacking the deck against yourself, not in your favor.

Ultimately, it's about whether you want to sell sell metaphorical jeans or metaphorical skating videos. For many people, the big mistake is to try to sell something that everyone else is already selling. That stacks the deck well against you. It's really important to understand this, and it typically saves a lot of wasted time and energy, if you understand it before you start!

Contrary to what you'll see many people mistakenly saying, in forums, the people who aren't as successful as they'd like, in this context, are generally not people who "don't take action".

They're people who set off in the wrong direction.

You can sell (re-sell) various software intended for internet marketing (desktop apps, scripts, plugins and online services like spinners etc).

If you want to get into something that is hot and going to last a long time then I would suggest either looking at building software or creating Wordpress plugins.

If you can create something that can make somebodies life easier and save them a lot of time then you are going to do very well!

The internet marketing niche itself is extremely over saturated and I wouldn't recommend starting out with it if you are a newbie. You should pick a sub niche, but no one is going to tell you what works and what doesn't. Look for one with a hungry market and one that has high demand, but very little competition.

If you want to sell electronics and bicycles you're not looking "for a profitable niche for internet marketing."

Just to be clear, internet marketing is the sales approach you'll use to sell your bicycles. The niche really refers to the space or focus or position you establish in the bicycle market that you are going to target.

For instance, maybe you decide to focus or position your business to sell high-end mountain bikes to well-healed exercise enthusiasts. That is the niche you're going to try to exploit with your internet marketing methods and tactics.

Internet marketing, per se, is not really a good niche as it is way too broad a topic for most marketers, especially new marketers without experience.

As danlew and others have alluded, it is best to drill down as deep as you can go and become an expert in a sub- sub- niche where you stand a chance of being seen as an authority with your content and products.

People have so many misconceptions about Internet marketing and MMO niches.

That's because it's largely up for debate.

Here are my definitions:

IM/Internet marketing - People who market their business on the Internet. They understand terms like niche marketing, squeeze page, PPV, PTC, etc.

MMO/Make Money Online - These people don't really know what Internet marketing is. They're newbies who want a "Business in a box". They won't typically work as hard as Internet marketers; they are seeking a one click solution.

As far as a profitable niche within the IM market? There are a million. Copywriting, email marketing, product creation, paid traffic.

All are profitable if you can play the right chords.

So... Pick something you're particularly knowledgeable on, and something that really interests you.

Make Money Online is still the hottest Internet Marketing niche right now, with the high jobless rate worldwide and the recession, lots of persons are looking ways to make money.

Yes as Sociallooks has mentioned mobile webs online seems to be really hot.

Also aps and aps business websites.

Another way to find hot niches is to search the forums and see which topics
have the most interest.

If you have a look at the WSO section you will get an idea of what people are buying,
by the number of page views etc.

Sometimes the "hot" niches can be difficult to break into because there can be a lot
of competition, but you can always try and find an angle in a hot niche that you can
be successful with, by that I mean, you can try and offer a better service in a hot niche
than the competition.

Everyone I am new member in this forum. I love online work also internet marketing.

I started out in a very narrow niche and I kicked ass in it. I recommend that is what you do. Then when you have totally mastered that niche start going a little tiny bit broader and keep doing that in small increments.

Often the biggest mistake people make is going to broad to soon. I know because I make the same mistake and it killed me. It literally cost me hundreds of thousands of dollars. Please do not make the same mistake.

I highly doubt anybody will tell you which niches are truly profitable instead of keeping it for themselves.
