How Do They Do This on Screen?

I was wondering if anyone knew which program can create an effect on screen. The effect can be seen 2 seconds into the video. It's in the lower left of the screen.

Any ideas pls, this is driving me mad!?! Click the link below to see the video on Youtube:

You mean the lower third with the name and title?

You'll need to use an animation/video effects software such as Apple Motion or Adobe After Effects.

If you're lacking the skills to create it, you can purchase stock animation templates from various stock media websites that you can simply edit to suit your needs. There are plenty of really cool lower thirds out there.

They are made using Adobe After Effects. You can have them cheaply at Fiverr for just $5.

Likely, but not necessarily. Simple animations like that can be done in just about any decent video editor (Vegas, Premier, Final Cut Pro, just to name a few).

Ok now we're getting somewhere! Are these called 'lower thirds' then? I'm going to do some more hunting right now :-)

Yep. If you purchase a pre-made one, you still need to know how to integrate it into your project (ie you need to understand how animations / keyframing works)... otherwise your lower third will just be "static".

Basic animation isn't very difficult in most video editors (the exception being After Effects, which is far more complicated than every other video editor out there).

I suggest learning how to do simple text & image animations in the video editor of your choice before you purchase any third party products, as you may find that's all you need. Most decent video editors provide basic animation capabilities.
