Do you use/trust the Google Conversion tool?
Just running some early tests using Adwords and as
usual, I've set up a conversion tracker to see how many
sales I'll be getting when the product goes live.
(not taking any orders physically, so I can't check
via payments made yet).
I also set up a link tracker, so I could see how many times
the order link was clicked on, for extra piece of mind.
I've done this a few times, and every time it comes back
skewed.
Google's conversion report tells me a lower number of
conversions were made vs the amount of actual clicks on
the order link.
Have you experienced similar problems?
I don't know which one is more accurate, but I'm hoping it's
the link tracker that's right, and not the Google tool!
(I've just checked this morning and I've made 4 sales at 6%
conversion ratio, unless the link tracker is wrong and Google
is right!)
Do you use Google conversion tool to monitor sales? How
accurate is it?
