Recently I've been looking up on selling Click Bank products and think I've found a product or two that I'd be interested in. Both are under the $15.00 price and one is even under $5.00, as I'm not wanting to do it to earn money quickly. I'd just like another source of income, whether big or small.

I've been reading up on how to sell them and I was just wondering if anyone could check over this list and tell me if anything else should be added or taken away.

(in no particular order)
1. Hosting + Domain (paid hosting and domain)
2. Build a list (register at Aweber or something similar)
3. Find a click bank product (think I've found 1 or 2)
4. Promote it?!?

I'm thinking that obviously the domain name I pick must relate to the product I'm selling, which I can easily manage. I'm not so keen on squeeze pages as I think they look too cluttered, so I was wondering, is using WordPress to promote ClickBank products ok? I can set up WordPress with ease and I'd be able to keep everything organized then.

Remember, I'm new to all this, so I'm sorry if this seems dumb.

Off the top of my head - how do you plan to build your list? If you are going to offer a free download, then you will need the product that is the free download.

Also, not sure why you have a problem with squeeze pages. There are many successful squeeze pages that are very simple and to the point with no clutter at all.

I'm just not a fan of squeeze pages. Although, I do not doubt that there are many successful ones, I just don't want one myself.

I plan to build the list by offering special promotions, free downloads etc. Once I have a sufficient enough list, I was planning on promoting the products through it then.

    Hi,
    Those are the basics.

Here's something to think about..... To succeed as an affiliate there is one thing you must have. It's a proper PRESELL page where you offer a review or recommendation for the product you are selling. The simplest way is to post it on a blog. I have found that proper pre-selling is a most important step.

And Gravity isn't always the way to pick your products. I'd suggest you pick a Niche first, learn about the people in that niche. Who are they? What problems do they have? Do they buy? And a host of other questions so you have a really good feel for your market. Then, pick the product.

    I wish you the best....

Would I post this review/recommendation on a blog which relates to the product?

Sure. The key, IMO, is selling to pain. Describe the pain and provide partial solutions. Partial because they must take some action to get the rest of the information.

The magic words "Sell to their pain", do not sell, rather suggest, remember there's always a person behind a sale

By establishing enough credibility by email, and making sure they trust you, and respect you, and value your communications enough to become willing to rely on the strength of your email recommendations because you're the person making the recommendations. If you can get that right, it doesn't matter that they're on ten other people's lists too, and have seen the product's sales page five times before without buying it (i.e. if they're "normal" subscribers).

Please excuse such a dissenting voice, but I make my full-time living promoting ClickBank products as an affiliate, and have done so for years now, and I just don't agree with this at all. I also know many other successful ClickBank affiliates who wouldn't agree with it at all; sorry.

I have had various affiliate sites on which I've had what I think you'd call "a proper pre-sell page", but I'm not at all sure that they've really helped, and the reality is that I do just as well (sometimes better) without them as with them.

ClickBank products are more easily and successfully sold by email, for all the reasons discussed in this post: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post8514438

I think you're probably very wise. All the split-testing I've ever done with lists built with/without squeeze pages has put me off them, too. I now no longer use them at all. There are much better ways for me to build lists for promoting ClickBank products as an affiliate: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post7939758

          This works.

You need an automated autoresponder series, to send out to the list. People who subscribe need to hear from you on the day they subscribe. You can start with one subscriber, if it's all set up and automated. You don't need to wait until you "have a sufficient enough list". (And you shouldn't). http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post6123982

Nope. To the niche, not to the product.

Part of the advantage of being an affiliate (rather than a vendor) is that we can build a solid, asset-based business without being dependent on the continued success, survival or even availability of any specific, individual product at all. Affiliate websites are better for niches, not for products. Don't tie your site for the long-term to a specific product which may not even still be for sale in 3 months' time, for all you know. Maintain your flexibility.

That can be true for "problem-solving niches". Overall, I tend to find "enthusiasm niches" convert better, for ClickBank sales. Luckily for me, a lot of my competitors seem to like "problem-solving niches", though, which helps me out quite a lot. http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post2161932

Thank you for the PM rallenk, it has helped a lot. I'd also like to thank all for the helpful information. I'm new to all this, so it's wonderful to be helped by you all.

Aren't people hesitant about buying though? How do you turn someone from thinking "I'm not going to buy this" to a customer?

You should promote these products through email messages, article writing, videos, and many other free methods. There are also paid methods, but stay far from them if you don't know how to use them; otherwise you will simply burn your money.

Creating a Wordpress blog is a good idea, but you have to keep updating your blog. You should collect email addresses and build your email list so that you may have a list to sell to. You need an auto responder and a series of email messages, but you also must give an incentive to those who will accept subscribing to your list, like a free ebook.
