doubt they are all bots, but?

I have a book review site and have over 700 traffic. Oh, sure some must be bots, as can be expected. I now believe that. But why 700 in a couple days? I was able to make 100 in traffic, seemingly from bots in the newer sites of mine, but 700+ in my oldest site? Surely there are people in this mix with bots beside them... Needs more investigation.

    Is the website on its own domain/hosting? Or with a web 2.0?

    @OP: If you're on your own hosting then you can check the traffic stats under cPanel> awstats.

    I have some sites with nothing on them but the wordpress hello world and get numerous blog comments, like the ones I marked as spam this morning.
    And "Bad Behavior" plugin is blocking 3 for every 1 that gets through.

    There's a ton of garbage traffic out there.
    Hmm is anyone eose having problems with the pictures on this blog loading?
    I'm trying to determine if its a problem on my end or if it's thee blog.
    Any responses would be greatly appreciated.

    It is on my own hosting. I use counterize for WP and connecting it into Google webmaster tools and google analytics. saw 6 visitors in G analytics so far in another one of my sites. Likely they are real rather than bots, because 6 is actually believable, esp. for a baby site.

    You can check the demographics and nature of the traffic using google analytics

    Are any of those visitors taking actions or spending time on your site/coming back? If not, then it doesn't matter if you have 10,000 visitors because worthless traffic is exactly that.

    FOCUS on what people are actually DOING when they visit your site as oppose to numbers which don't mean anything if nothing is actually happening in terms of actions performed by those visitors or retention.

    700 x $0.00 is still $0.00. I hope you see my point.
