Who would you recommend for Wordpress?

Hi everyone
I have been trawling the warriors for hire and WSO section for a Wordpress designer but am very wary of engaging someone as this will be a big project for us.
Are there any suppliers that warriors have worked with that they would recommend?

    It would really depend on what type of project it is. For example, some developers are better at squeeze pages while others are better at online stores. What type of website is it?

      Also, there are many excellent Word Press themes that carry a lot of functionality and can be modified to suit the needs of your business. Using a theme will cost you a small fraction of what a developer will typically charge for a custom job and you can find themes designed for every niche imaginable.

        Hi Guys
        thanks for your replies.
        the site will be Business to consumer for a financial services product.
        Yes I can buy a theme and do it myself but its the graphical look and feel that is more important due to the nature of the product. we need to project a very professional image
