Building site, need plugin advice

Hello Everyone,

So i'm going to be building a website which offers 4 products on a monthly basis.

The payment will be re-occuring as long as the person wants to have it for (min 1 month)

Product 1 $10 a month
Product 2 $18 a month
Product 3 $25 a month
Product 4 $30 a month

I would like to have a feature on the website where the member can login and see their account details. Its all very simple stuff. The features will be the following-

Upgrade
Downgrade
Cancel

Is there a plug and play way of doing this?

Do you think I should build the site in wordpress?

Really grateful for everyones input and how you would go about doing this yourself.

Id get Optimize Press or Member Rocket. There are Literally Hundreds of Members Plugins etc, that Intergrate very nicely with Paypal and Tons of other Processors.
99% of them Have 'Levels' So you can setup different packages, and add each level to a seperate list, So you can push for them to Upgrade if you wanted to..

    Regards

Thanks for the input. Im only going to be using the membership side as its for a product rather than unlocking different levels on content. Do you still think i need a membership plugin or can a payment procesor do the same thing?

Yeah, Just setup paypal Buttons, One for each package. It'll do the same job.

For me i would prefer a more membership/customer login area after the sale has gone through so they can upgrade/downgrade/cancel via the site not paypal

One option would be to check out Zaxaa: https://www.zaxaa.com/ you will have the ability to do recurring payments just setup the different products at the different price points.

Then you can place a form on your website or setup a simple help desk solution should someone wish to cancel: How do I cancel my customer's subscription/recurring billing? : Zaxaa Support

This way there wouldn't be any upfront cost...

I would say Wishlist Member could fulfill this pretty well.

I've been using them for the past year and they work really well.

I'd also suggest maybe trying out Kajabi (although it's not on your own server) as it has a simple setup.

If you are planning your site in wordpress then just visit "Easy Digital Downloads" . They mainly deal with digital downloads and memberships.

They have both... themes as well as plugins. As far as I remember they have a plugin which will upgrade a member to pro one the admin approves of it, but again its a digital world and things move very fast .. .you need to check their store to see if it fits ur requirement.

Did you have a look at WhishList membership plugin? It has many features and it's very flexible.

I'll take a look at that now.

Another helpful thing would be to list actual sites using this technology so i can see a live version.

Please feel free to add your sites so i can review
