Valuable Books Prices Have Dived!

Hi,

I have been trying really hard to get into flipping books. However some of the most valuable books have dived in value.

For example I listed one at $150 to match the other prices. Now they are listed by other sellers at $60. This means my books are uncompetitive.

Any suggestions what I can do please?

Yes, flip things that have more profit margins and higher perceived value than books.

I purposely didn't suggest anything so you can sit down and come up with things on your own. But ok, I'll play......

One example would be to rehab websites and flip them. Some people also will pay a web designer like $50 to $150 bucks to build a nice website or squeeze page (and a thank you page) and then they turn around and "flip it" for double or even triple what they paid for it.

I have a neighbor who buys stuff on Craigslist and eBay and then flips it on both those sites for more than what they paid for it.

    1) Find cheaper sources - perhaps those used by your competitors?
    2) Find books your competitors don't have
    3) Try using other sales outlets - different sites, specialty book clubs, other countries etc
    4) Start a book-sourcing service on the side
    5) Consider partnering with one or more of your competitors
    6) Use your customer list to promote your books directly, or promote related items
    7) Offer extra services - gift-wrapping, valuations etc.
    8) Find another business and wait for the book market to improve

I'm sure there are several other options if you really think about it.

Im pleased with how the book flipping is going overall. In my second full month I'm on course to make $600.

I am getting them car boot sales, libraries and charity shops but the most valuable books have dived in value yet I have only had them a few weeks.
