Squeeze Page Testing Results

Hello Warriors,

I just wanted to let everyone know the power of testing. I recently started building a list to promote a clickbank product. I built a squeeze pageto get subscribers and here are the stats for different versions of the same squeeze page. I basically changed just the text colors and kept the same images on all variations of the squeeze page.

Variation A:

CTR: .18%
Conv: 3.22%
Cost/Sub $4.75 (Ouch!)

Variation B:

CTR: .18%
Conv: 2.66%
Cost/Sub: $6.61 (Ouch! again)

Variation C:

CTR: .09%
Conv: 21.4%
Cost/Sub: $0.76 (Woo Hoo)

Small changes can make a huge difference. As you can see from the 3 variations, the best performing Variation had half the CTR but conversions were up 10X and the Cost per subscriber went down below $1.00. I will continue to tweak variation C to increase conversions but things are finally looking good. I did remove some non converting keywords in addition to changing text color. All images remained the same. Best of all I got a few sales!!

Each test was roughly 1,000,000 impressions over a 2 week period. I received 1800 clicks for the first 2 variations and half as many for the last and best performing variation.

Great work, now delete a and b plug in two more variations vs your Variation C:

Keep testing and tweaking. Check checking stats!

I do agree with testing... but this thread could have made more of an impact if you had shared WHAT changes led to those results.

because as it is, it doesn't really show anything other than the importance of testing.

But I do agree... the smallest things can make the biggest difference.

On a Google adword, I once changed "program" to "guide" and it doubled my CTR.

On a headline of one of my sites, I changed "Fitness Expert" and made it "Regular, Average Guy" and it bumped my conversion rate from .90% to 1.5%

so, indeed... small changes can yield huge results, which is why testing is crucial with ANYTHING you do online.

I assume all the traffic was from the same source otherwise that could mess up the results.

I think the difference between those make money and those that make big money is tracking and testing.

    Thanks for sharing
