Hi All,

This is my first You Tube video and I'd love to know what you think.

This is not a plug, this is my very first video and I wanted to share

it and possibly get some feedback.

Thanks a bunch,
Lori P.

I think you've got a great character for video,

If you're looking to start doing it on a more regular basis I'd recommend looking into a slightly higher quality camera, nothing too fancy!

    Great work

I like your video alot.. it feels very sincere to me.

The quality of the video is good enough for now considered it is your first video. It does exactly what you need it to do so i personally wouldnt worry about that for now.

You do have a great appearance and voice to be able to portray your point of view effectively.

The most important point you want to keep in mind.... keep it real, just as you have already done in the video.

    just my two cents.

      Lori,

You are a natural! Good story teller and you sound genuine.

I have a challenge for you.

Can you have the same impact with a shorter version? lets say 30 sec to 1 min. long.

Measuring the ctr and conversion for each.

      Good stuff,

      Nick

          Great presentation Lori - you're a natural!

You can actually make an image improvement before buying a higher res camera:

There is slight flare (cloudy, noticeable at top left) caused by the camera almost facing the harsh light source.

All you need to do is close the curtain just a bit. This will also stop the highlights on your face being too washed out, and the camera's auto exposure will compensate.

I think you'll notice a big improvement with only that small adjustment.

Very convincing video, Lori. Perfect length (anything over 3-4 minutes and I am leaving the building)
Congratulations and good luck to you!

    Lori,

Congrats to you! I like how it appears you are talking to your friends, very comfortable, casual and conversational. You keep it real by sharing your experiences, struggles, and successes. I think you could streamline it a bit to cut down on time. Implement the suggestions above for a better quality picture.

Keep up the great work. I look forward to seeing the next vid.

You are a very good speaker, but this video just does NOT do you justice. IMHO for head-shot videos like this, you need to make it a little more interesting and use a lot more resolution. More emphasis, closer shots of you, and even cut-aways (or on screen text) could also be used to help speed up and/or clarify your delivery with impact. As well, your lighting is reverse of what it should be. Close your windows and direct soft light to the front of your face - this could be the cause of the poor (blurry) quality.

Most cameras have very good resolution these days, you just have to take advantage of them. In addition, Youtube also supports HD now and that will make a huge difference for your audience in terms of attention.

Here is one of Michael Miller's Videos who wrote the book "Youtube for Business"

      Hope this helps,

      all the best.
