Google analytics: What does this mean?

Hello,

I was checking my Google analytics and a blog of mine has a 68% bounce rate. What exactly does bounce rate mean? What could it possibly imply as far as content, conversions, layout, etc. Perhaps I am not getting targeted visitors. Just trying to figure my analytics to improve my sites. Also, is there a guide or someone that knows how to interpret your analytics to find out what exactly could be changed or improved for more sales and conversions?

Thanks

Todd

If people 68% bounce rate means that 68% people came to your site, looked at the page and then went away to some other site. They never clicked on any other page on your site. The lower this number, the better it is. 68% isn't too bad, I think the average is 50% or something.

You can't really do anything on the analyitcs to do sales....it just provides you the way to look at stats of your site.

Thanks. Does this mean that it is possible that they could have clicked on one of my affiliate links and went to that site? What did the other 32% do?
