How Do i Advertise My Services

I know that it's easier to sell a service than it is to sell an actual product. so where do i start? Where can i go to market or promote my services?

You could always start here Warriors For Hire and you could also utilize your signature privilege as well, as long as it conforms to the signature rules.

Knowing what the service is would be helpful. Try buysellads.com

Is it a local service or a global service? If it's local, then it's easy, just build a website, submit to local google places, yahoo local, submit free press releases and articles, yelp, merchantcircle, craigslist, hit the local social media pages and back it up with local marketing. If it's global, then it's a whole different approach. What's your target market?

  • Depends what the service is. If it is Internet Marketing related, then try this forum. If not, look for other forums (just make sure you are not breaking any rules). Apart from that, it is best to approach businesses you would like to service. Try calling, emailing, even going there in person, if it is local. If you have had any clients before, ask them for referrals or at least testimonials (which would help you to sell to other people or businesses). You could also use freelance platforms like oDesk, Elance, Guru...

Specific Marketing all depends on the service you are offering.

If internet based, I suggest video marketing or social media marketing.

If local maybe Craigslist or Backpage.

Two of the best micro gig sites is Fiverr.com and Yooker.com. And right now, Yooker.com is doing away with seller fees so you can get the full amount of what you charge for your gig.
