How Do I Setup An Email Server?

I am trying to setup my own email server using Sendblaster. I've purchased a VPS account with Bluehost, so I have a unique dedicated IP address. However, after sending only 200 emails, all Can Spam compliant, I believe my domain has been tagged and may be on a blacklist. How would I go about setting this up so that this doesn't happen? How do big email companies such as Aweber, Constant Contact, Mailchimp etc... have hundreds of customers importing lists, obviously some for spam, but still not ending up in the spam box, or worse, put on a blacklist? Really interested in how I can get this setup correctly. Thanks in advance.

  • It could be a "throttling" issue. What's the maximum number of emails your server is allowed to send per hour? (If you don't know, you might well have a problem.)

Might have to use a legitimized sender, like MailChimp
