Using www.example.wordpress.com blog site

Hello, I am new here

I was wondering if you are using a free blog like blogger or wordpress and start to make a nice amount of sales per month consistently, what is the best option to take with it.

Can I buy that domain from wordpress and still keep my rankings or is it too late?

Basically is their anything else I can do with it. I know if I owned it I could sell it on flippa.com but that's not the case.

Btw I am kind of a newbie at this too. Thanks

    Just pay the meager fee to get a professional blog that you own outright. Don't play by the mercy of "free blogging" sites like Blogger. I would hate to see your hard work and efforts instantly gone because Blogger banned you for something ridiculous.

    Free blogging isnt exactly the best, it has many disadvantages. You should get your own self hosted WP blog to get on the next level for your business.

    You are much better to have your own site with a domain name that you own. Not only so you have complete ownership and contorl over the content but so you can achieve higher SEO rankings. Very rarely will you see a blogger site ranked on the first page of google unless its very very low competition which usually means it gets low searches. Adding a domain name won't affect your current rankings. Furthermore, wouldn't you rather build backlinks to your own domain rather than to blogger?

    Buy your own site and hosting.

    if you can't afford the roughly $40 or so to start a website, then you're not ready to start making much sales anyway,

    I'm not saying it's impossible, but there are too many disadvantages to hosting your blog on another site, and too many advantages to having your own site, to not buy a domain and hosting.
