Will Using Pen Names Affect Sales & Create Problems Promoting WSO & JVZOO Offers!

I've signed up under my real name at the wso & jvzoo affiliate sites & I want to
use a pen name to keep my promotions confidential.

I do not want to use my real name on sites like facebook-youtube-twitter

When they go & order on paypal or a cc provider & my real name appears
that would be totally different.

What I'm concerned about is getting banned by the social media sites
or having a problem at either the wso or jzoo.

On Jvzoo, they use the PayPal Split-Payment API.

On W+, vendors can choose this as an option.

Anytime a vendor is using the Split-Payment API, payments go to the seller, then the seller pays the affiliate.

When this happens, the only name that the consumer sees is the vendor's name -- not the affiliate's name.

You have to ask their support. Email those services first and see whether using a Pen Name is OK with their T.O.S or not.

Jvzoo uses it on all offers.

Those who use it on W+ will have an image that looks just like this next to the product name in the "Request Offers" page and on the "Affiliate Details" page.

Thanks for explaining how to find the the PayPal Split-Payment API.

With out the the PayPal Split-Payment we would handle the transactions
and the refunds & be able to transfer most of the funds to our bank almost
        instantly.

Now with the PayPal Split-Payment API any idea how long it takes to
receive our affiliate commissions on W+ & JVZOO some of the offers
I noticed have delayed payment setup for there offers

How can we tell which offers have a delayed payment & which ones
do not have it in there listings.

Each vendor gets to choose whether you will be paid immediately or on delayed payment. They have the option to choose immediate or delayed with each individual affiliate.

For people I know, I pay immediately. For people I don't know, I put them on delayed payment.

On rotating payment, if a payment goes to you and if there is a refund, that goes directly against your account.

With the PayPal Split Payment API (actually called PayPal Adaptive Payments API), you will be required to agree that the payment processor will retrieve money from your PayPal account in the event of a refund.

Basically, when the payment comes in, it goes to the Vendor, then payments will be forwarded to the payment processor (w+ or jvzoo) and the affiliate.

In the event of a refund, the vendor funds the refund, then pulls the processing fee from the payment processor and the commission from the affiliate -- through software processes built into the payment processor's system. (The whole system is automated, and it only allows the payment processor retrieve money from your account, so you don't have to be concerned about fraud by vendors.)

Within PayPal, the money is available to you immediately, but it is not officially yours until the 45-day refund window has passed.

If there is a refund, the affiliate is expected by the vendor, the payment processor and PayPal to return the commission on the purchase.

For most of us, refund rates are less than 1% and refunds are just a part of doing business, so we keep some funds in PayPal at all times to cover any refunds that might be requested. It is no big deal really.

Only if the vendor puts you on delayed payments.

Generally, if you have under 100 transactions within the payment processor, most vendors will put you on delayed payments.

The primary thing that vendors are doing is protecting themselves against fraud -- when people sell products as an affiliate, get paid, then close their PayPal accounts and disappear. Only after the affiliate has disappeared with the money do fraudulent transaction notices and refunds start rolling into vendor's PayPal account.

Most of us consider that if an affiliate has survived more than 100 transactions without getting banned by the payment processor, then the affiliate is probably a safe bet.

You can always sell on ClickBank, but if you do that, they will hold your money too, but they will send you a check in the mail.

    Usually 45-60 days.

The 45 days is for the refund window, and the extra time is however long it takes for the vendor to catch up his bookkeeping.
