Help, photoshop experiment.

So I was pretty much just playing around with photoshop the other day and the end result was this, doesn't seem to convert very well though.
What's wrong with it? Untitled Document (This is one of the squeeze pages I use for "Traffic Exchanges", I find that it's a good way to get "IM" newbies that honestly need some incredibly basic guidance on your list.)
I usually go with simple text designs for Squeeze Pages and they do well enough, just wondering if something like this is worth experimenting with if you're not already experienced with PS.

    First of all, change your page title from "untitled document" to something a bit more specific.

    Also, there is too much blue on the page and the header doesn't really stand out for me.

    You should also have it so that no words are broken up in the paragraph

    For example, you currently have it like this:

    Discover the art of writing powerful headlines and
    making them work for you.
    Step-by-step guidance leads you to the perfect
    squeeze page.
    Transform from a complete newbie into a profes-
    sional list builder!

    It SHOULD be more like:


    Discover the art of writing powerful headlines and
    making them work for you.

    STEP-BY-STEP guidance leads you to the perfect squeeze page!

    Simply fill in your details below and completely transform
    from a 'newbie' into a professional list builder!

    I have found that yellow on blue will make the headline stand out, you need to study what colors work on the net, try google for an article about choosing website colors

    Another easy way to get the ball rolling if you are relatively new to Photoshop is to download some free photoshop styles. These are basically presets of colours, shadows, gradients, glows and so on that you can apply with one click.

    In addition to the comments above, two things strike me about the squeeze page. First of all, I found your picture moving up and down at the side of the page really annoying. Second of all, a chrome effect on your header would make it stand out much better IMHO. I found a free tutorial that explains how to do it Chrome in Photoshop

    The dark gray on dark blue makes your text hard to read. You need contrast between the text and your background. In addition, your fancy script font is also hard to read. Simplicity is a virtue.
