hey guys,

How can I use youtube to give away free ebooks?

I have tried using facebook and twitter but the response was not that great.

In using youtube, what kind of videos can be used that will increase the CTR and go viral?

You can buy a video for $5 on fiverr, or you can make like a presentation video with some cool templates. Make a description of 350 - 1000 words, put the link to your free report at the beginning and the end of a description. Than you can promote it on social sites, in signatures on forums, or something like this.

The other way is to research a long tail keyword with small competition, and put it in the headline of the video. Mention that keyword in the description with LSI and buy some high retention views and likes...
If you did everything correctly, than you can expect your video to be within 3 weeks / one month on 1st page (with some time also on 1st place) of youtube first, and later on Google (G loves YT... they are the same firm).

I did that few times for my own videos. PM me if you wish more details...

you could look for videos that are already viral without any promotion in their description and then negotiate with those video owners to include your free ebook in their description. Look for viral videos in your niche.

Why don't you just put them on the many free e-book sites.
Or even document sharing sites such as Scribd

Add a clickable annotation to your Youtube video saying "Click Here For Free Ebook..." Make sure you direct them to your Squeeze page where you give way the free ebook in exchange for their email address.

This is what I would do. You could also try putting the link in the description, or have the URL part of the video itself at the end. Make sure you tell them a lot about the book and how it's going to benefit them if they download it.

You can tell the internet has evolved when it can be difficult to even give away FREE things. Remember, gifts are a very powerful thing. People, nowadays, at least to some extent, have become privy to the fact that gift giving isn't always as altruistic as some would like to make it seem. Throughout history, strong, influential leaders have been those who have effectively leveraged the free gift.

With that said, one effective tactic to give away something free is to show proof that others have been interested in receiving the gift, as well. "Join the 100,000+ other people who have downloaded my free eBook". The kicker? While some may get away with lying, you really want to be honest....people can sniff it out a mile away.

Direct people from your Youtube Video to your optin page where you offer the free ebook in exchange for their email address. Its now possible to add a clickable link to your Youtube video which will inprove optins.

  • Take care about your title, let people comprehend that the ebook is free.
Then purchase a Fiverr gig that includes video creation with some special effect, and tell him what you desire from the video. Design also a great cover to be put on video, design it free with MyEcoverMaker for free.

Then remember to publish video link on social networks, put it on forum signatures, write an article to post on eZineArticles and many other article directories, and write a good press release. In a few days you will get thousands of views.

That's what I will do if I have to promote a free ebook on Youtube
