Hosting for OptimizePress?

I am in the middle of setting up a new membership site and wanted to use OptimizePress 2.0 with their membership plugin. However, after setting it all up, when I tested it out the system wasn't sending out any emails. I contacted the OP support, but after 48 hours and three different support people, I was no nearer to getting an answer.

I then took a rather rash decision, deleted all the files, and set up Easy Member Pro instead - only to find that I had exactly the same problem. I contacted EMP support who reported that it seemed to be a problem with the server.

So I contacted my hosting company, Veerotech, who don't really know the cause of the problem, but seem to think that emails may be being blocked by SpamArrest.

So, my question is, can anyone here recommend a reliable host that will run OP without these problems. If anyone reading this actually runs OP, problem free, who are you hosting with?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

I run a lot of sites using OP on Hostgator.
It works well enough over the years although I am not using the latest version of OP.

Thanks for your input. However, I have heard bad reports lately concerning HostGator since they were taken over. Any thoughts?

    Hi there,

This isn't a problem with the software itself - the emails are being flagged outgoing as SPAM - as I mentioned, we're working with SpamExperts to remove the block. I'm 100% positive that they are being blocked and we're resolving the issue for you.

Also, I'd like to note, that this has nothing to do with the hosting itself. In order to maintain a 99.9% delivery rate for legitimate emails, we filter ALL outgoing email for SPAM. In this case, the emails being sent are triggering multiple filters which has resulted in a block.

    Thanks,
    Brent

My thanks to those who made suggestions.

However, Brent at Veerotech identified which of the spam filtration sites was causing the problem and rectified it, so all is now well.

      Thanks Brent.
