Warrior Special Offer/Services for Hire questions and video embedding questions

Hello Warriors:

Hope it will be a great weekend for all.

A few questions about offering a service and if it should be a Warrior Special Offer or more of Services For Hire.

Let us say I wanted to offer the forum a service related to the video creation market. Is it better to have it as a WSO or Services For Hire? Why?

Is there a difference in cost depending where you place it on the forum?

If it does well how often can you bump up the thread and what is the cost?

If you can offer something that has quality, price, and maybe an added bonus what is a proper turnaround time for a video service to fellow Warriors?

As for the thread itself I never had video as part of any post that I created. If I wanted three or so in the sales page are there video formats you recommend to use so there are no issues for the Warriors to view them? Does the sales page enable you to take a link from elsewhere and embed it on the page? If you did not have the video found somewhere else could you upload the video from your computer to the Warrior Forum post?

Thank you for your time as always,
Craig

If you're relying strictly on traffic from people browsing the forum, then I would go with a 'Warriors for hire' thread. It will stay on the first page a lot longer than a WSO thread will (a WSO thread will typically stay on the first page for about 3 minutes, nowadays. OK, maybe that's a slight exaggeration ).

'Warriors for hire' threads cost $20 to post, and WSO threads are $40. You can bump either once they get to the 3rd page, for the same price as the initial post.

As per turn-around time... there is no hard and fast rule, but back when I offered a video creation service, I guaranteed a 72 hr turnaround, and people seemed pretty happy with that. Just make sure that you give yourself plenty of time to do the work!

Regarding embedding videos... you can only embed YouTube videos in Warrior Forum posts. Once you've uploaded a video to YT, just copy and paste the video URL in the body of a forum post, and it will automatically appear.

Tip: offer to do free videos for a handful of people before you start selling them, in order to build up your portfolio and gather some testimonials. It will be a lot easier to sell the videos once you do that.

Tip #2: don't rely solely on the traffic from people randomly browsing the 'Warriors for hire' or 'WSO' section. If you do, it's going to take a long time to build up your business, as you have an absolute TON of competition in there these days. Instead, be proactive and drive traffic to your thread from various other sources (solo ads, media buys, signature link, etc).

      Hi Brandon:

Thanks for the quick and articulate response!

I am glad you informed me that only YouTube videos could be seen in the Warrior posts. I didn’t know if any non offensive video could be embedding via another site and or what you may have on your own personal computer.

Three days seems to make perfect sense. I could see where somebody would want a service/product in their possession as soon as possible.

      Have a great weekend,
      Craig

You should use warrior for hire. It's cheaper , less competion and help you generate more sales selling your service than Wso section.
