I am unable to download a .zip file for a plugin to Wordpress. When I download from download page it downloads as a folder. I right click the folder and I emailed it as an option to make it as a .zip. However, when trying to use the .zip file to upload as a plugin (.zip required) it says

Could not extract file from archive. wp-epicsqueeze-pro/css/reset.css"

Does anyone know what I need to do to have Wordpress read the .zip and upload the plugin?

If the plugin isn't in .zip format you can upload it directly to your server through ftp. Before you do that re-download the plugin and open the file and make sure the script are there including the css.

Then try right clicking and send to: compressed (zipped) folder. If this fails try uploading it to your plugin folder through ftp.

Not sure why your plugin is unzipping itself, but you should be able to zip the folder back up immediately and then upload the plugin?

Have you checked the folder to see if the plugin itself is perhaps inside (zipped) with other files?

Another option would be to ftp the plugin (unzipped) in through the cpanel.

Hmmm, I have tried this through c-panel before and unless the file is zipped it won't work. The only way you can upload an unzipped file is through ftp.

At least that is my experience from my last two hosts. So this might depend on your hosting account.

Now @intmark5, if you continue having problems go back to the product owner and have them check out the plugin on their end. I bought a theme once that had missing files and wouldn't work. That is why you should check and make sure the .css file is in the plugin.

I have some ftp options in my cpanel.

You may be thinking about using the file manager for upload, and in that case you'd have to do each file one at a time or send up a zip to be expanded.
