Getting Rid of My Buyers?

Haha I know weird title but it does actually apply.

I just got done creating my autoresponder sequence in Get Response. I've set it up so every time that someone buys through my product they end up on one of my lists.

I got to thinking this might be a problem.

I want to separate the people into who bought what (ex. squeeze page, front end offer, oto1, oto2) but my worry is that they will end up on more than one list.

I don't want my autoresponder sending the same person ten emails a day from ten different lists...

so how do I fix this? Do I have to manually take them off each list?

Any input will help

Thanks.

David

what about just adding one emaillist to all products? if the autoresponder is the same anyway you maybe just merge it all

      Thanks for your response

I've thought about this but there's one problem...

I want to sell each individual persona according to what they have bought so far.

So if someone has bought the first oto I want to now sell them on the second oto.

If it was just one big list people who already had bought the first oto would still be getting messages pitching them to buy it again haha

but then, won't they all be interested in these products? i mean your products won't all belong to different niches, will they?

Ya i'm only in one niche

the problem is that I don't want to be selling the same products to people that have already bought them.

They will all be interested, just some have already bought some things.

I may just have to make it one big list though

    Use automation rules.

Make it unsubscribe the email address from a previous list when the user subscribes to a "higher level" list to avoid overlapping. Might not be perfect if you have too many items for sale, but it does the job.

I'm using Aweber but I believe this can be done in the other AR services as well.

Another way to go at it is to use custom fields. I use a field called "source". If they get on a list from a landing page, the form is coded to use a hidden field [source=lander]. For oto1, it would be [source=oto1], and so on.

      This accomplishes two things.

      > I can set rules such as "if source = xxxx, then send". I can keep one big list, and still segment it.

      > Each time someone moves deeper, the variable gets reset as long as they use the same email address.

There is an option in Aweber to unsubscribe the person from one list when they subscribe to another. I think you set up an automation rule.

I've seen that before when I used to use Aweber. Do you know by chance if there is an option like that in Get Response?

Have you considered asking GR support? I know Jim D. keeps them around for something...

I use Aweber and cant speak for Get Response but Aweber allows me to automate the process and actually segment my lists.

So if someone subsribes to another list that I have then I have it setup in Aweber that they automatically get taken off the previous list.

I'm sure GR offers this, I'd just get in touch with tech support or just search on their website to find out how to do it in GR.
