How do I create an affiliate link for my own product on ClickBank?
My payment link is: http://25.vision2003.pay.clickbank.net

I had no luck reading the material at https://support.clickbank.com/entrie...s-an-Affiliate

Thanks

One quick way is to open a new and separate account as an affiliate (they're not restricted, and they're free), log in with it, find your product's listing in the Marketplace, and click on the button that says "Promote": that will open a new window giving you an affiliate link.

Are you trying to do this in the hope of boosting your product's gravity figure, by promoting it as your own affiliate? If so, be aware that however many copies you successfully sell using your own affiliate link, it can't increase the product's gravity by more than 1 point (because gravity measures the number of affiliates who have each made one or more sales or purchases, not the number of sales. (Forgive me if you already knew all about this, and/or if this wasn't your objective at all: I mention it only to avoid misunderstandings, if you didn't or if it was! ).

Thanks Alexa..I just want to give an affiliate link to people on my list to promote the product. When I login to my acct and search the market place the product doesn't appear for any keywords...or do they become an affiliate by just inserting their own CB user name in the hop link?

      What am I missing?

The secure way for each to do that is as described above: they can just click on the Promote button, having logged in to their account, and that will give them a hoplink.

They can, but a better, more secure (and more "recommended-by-ClickBank") hoplink is generated by the method described above.

Thanks for the explanation..how come I can't find my product when I search the market place... doesn't it get added there automatically after adding it to my account?

First of all, the marketplace only lists your site details, not every individual product in your account.

Secondly, it is only updated once per day. And, you might not appear at all if you haven't made a sale in the last 12 weeks.

An uncloaked affiliate link to your own site will look like this

      Http:://affiliate.vendor.hop.clickbank.net

Replace affiliate and vendor with the account ids (you need an affiliate account as well as your vendor account).

This type of uncloaked link will go to your main site landing page, not to the individual product's pitch page.

If you want to use an affiliate link going to a specific product's pitch page, or want to allow your other affiliates to do that too, you need a script such as cbmultilink - Turbo-Charge Your ClickBank Affiliate Program - CBMultiLink allows you to offer your affiliates a choice of landing pages, cloaking, and more. or one of it's competitors.

Wait for day or two... sometimes it takes time for updating the marketplace after the product is approved

Does this mean I can only offer one product to affs with the CB system unless I use something like CBMultiLink?

      Effectively, yes, sort of.

Unless you use something like CBMultilink, you can only have 1 landing page that all your affiliates must use.

If NOT using CBMultlink: You could sort-of work round this limitation, by making that landing page the front page of your store, which then contains links to secondary-pages describing your various products. However, the problem with this approach, is that your affiliates can not link directly to the sales page for a particular product that they are promoting, which most likely would kill their conversion rate. (Imagine, if you promoted a particular product on Amazon, and then you told people, click this link to go to Amazon and do a search for product X --- it obviously would put people off, even if they understood what they were supposed to do).

      However....

Using something like CBMulitlink you can give your affiliates a choice of landing pages.

For example, each product could have its own landing page.

Or, for example, you could have different landing pages depending on who the affiliate is marketing to. For example, if you sell a diet product, you could set a pitch page with muscle-men and "manly" colors, that you male-fitness affiliates can link to. And set up a pitch page with slim women and a different color set and sales letter, that your women's health affiliates can link to.

This is probably a dumb question but if I don't place my product in the market place can I still only offer one product for affs? Can affs sell the product if they just substitute their username in the hop link even though it won't be secure?

It's not entirely clear to me what you are asking...

The only types of hop link that will give affiliates credit are:

          1. The form shown in my last post,

          2. The encrypted version of 1

          3. The old format version of 1, which contain hop.cgi and a slightly different arrangement of the other elements (clickbank, vendor nickname, affiliate nickname).

The Market. Place listing is really very little to do with hop links. You can ask clickbank to remove you from the marketplace, and they will if you want, but it has no effect on hop links or their functionality.

Whatever you do, don't get the idea of using vision2003.vision2003.hop.clickbank.net, as some older guides recommend. It doesn't wipe the previous affiliate's cookie anymore.
