It may be too late but then again I like to say that you can never really be late for anything, something happens when you want it happen.

It is only too late when those products disappear from the marketplace.

Which in theory will be never as there are collectors chasing every console that's out there today.

People make stacks of cash by setting up dedicated sites for buying and selling old consoles.

There will always be a market for this sort of thing.

It's not too late, I know someone is making a lot of money just on the pre-orders. Heck, the actual consoles haven't even launched yet!

    I'd say go for it!

    Thanks guys for the feedback.
Any Idea though how to do it?
Maybe through amazon? Ill make a website that previews the product(and maybe later on turn into review).
Is it even possible to put Call To Action links on the site when using Amazon?

Yes you can put call to action links on the site using Amazon, just use html code.

I guess that even long tail keywords relating to XBONE and the PS4 will have a lot of competition, although it would be interesting to see how much.

No, it's not too late. Sure, there will be well established sites promoting these already, but the consoles haven't even been launched yet. They will also sell well around and up to Christmas time, so it's not too late to start promoting.

With only one or two months until launch I think its a bit late, maybe look at other niches?

Not really, as people will still be buying the consoles after launch and well into the new year.

People will be buying them like hotcakes for the next 5+ years and then buying them pre-owned after that.

I personally think it's a tad bit late but...

If you're serious about it, think outside the box.

Set up a "Black Friday" type site...

And get ready for when they go down in price in November.

Go ahead and start researching prices as it gets closer.

And driving traffic to YOUR site.

See if you can get some sales that way?

    Same for Christmas.

Well thought it might not be 'to late' over all. I would say its a little late to expect any real results. Normally the best way to get into something is to be one of the first people to do it. At this point you would be competing with tons of people who are all ready well established. I wouldnt do it. I would spend my time trying to find the next future 'hot thing'

I guess this is subjective, although i'm somewhat inclined to agree...to a point. The competition might be fierce and the work may be overwhelming, yes. That said, there are plenty of niches out there where people still manage to succeed no matter how competitive and well-established they are. I guess it all depends on how passionate the OP is, or how willing he would be to achieve his goal or dream.

I believe it's all about knowing how to target your audience. For example:

-Let's say that the OP starts releasing some kick-ass, professional game reviews, overviews, hands-on features and everything related, placing them on YouTube and performing some targeted advertising. Each video ultimately links back to his money site.

-He also has a responsive Facebook page while advertising it and optimizing it for 'Page Likes.'

      - He establishes good relationships with gaming blogs and occasionally writes informative pieces, such as "Looking Back at a Decade of Halo" or whatever may be trendy right now. These blog posts would also link back to his main money site.

In this case, I suspect it's only a matter of time before he finds success (after much sweat, time and money spent, mind you.) But hopefully the work pays off if he builds a large and targeted following.

Yes this is true there are tons of niches where people do well despite the competition. However you need to understand that the hype around PS4 and the New XBox is only a temporary thing. Its the 'hot thing for right now' so to speak. Its not an actual niche like say 'quitting smoking' that will have long term popularity.

Because this is going to be a thing that is hot for a while and fade away only the people who had themselves will established long in advance will manage to do well with it. Simply because there wont be time for a new comer to get traction going.

I would write at least 5 to 10 articles about what ever product you are going to market and add them to your autoresponder (if you don't have one get one. This is the only marketing tool that you will need, even over a website).

That statement may sound strong, but being able to capture leads and turning them into buyers is going to be your bread and butter as an affiliate marketer. You can get a sub domain from your isp for free. If not just do a search on G for "free websites".
You can also do this from having a free blog with the optin form on the side bar. Blogger is a good one.

Next you will need a freebie to entice your prospects with. You might write a white paper, or report about "how to get to level 7 or 8 in your favorite game" or just do a search and answer 10 FAQ's for a certain game. The point is to offer something that people that buy these games consoles- will use them for. In this case it will be a game. Make sure that it is HQ.
Heck even do a video whatever.

Then create a squeeze page on your free subdomain and add that autoresponder form. Make sure your letter and form are above the fold ie; no scrolling to fill out the form.

Drive traffic from forums, article directories, blogs, social media sites like facebook, twitter etc. to your squeeze page url. Promote-promote-promote.

Besides consoles you can offer game guides from clickbank and other goodies too.

The game here is capture the lead then promote your affiliate products for the long term.

    Hope this helps

Yea I would say the same thing, it's only too late when you cannot promote it anymore. On another note it's too late when someone beat you too it. But then again, it's never to late for it, for also to try it.

You are in at the beginning for this market.

One strategy is to promote games that are not even out yet. Here is one to get you started.

Watch Dogs - Ubisoft - Release date November 12th 2013.

Start making some noise about this video games and link to the preorder page on Amazon.
