Offer it as a free report/white paper to optin, than you have much more options.
ie:
- After opting in upsell with a more comprehensive ebook, throw in a couple well-chosen bonuses like recipe books, exersize routines etc etc.

- If you don't like the idea of immediately hitting them with a hard sales page, sequence a few follow-up messages into your autoresponder offering tips like "eTip Day 1: healthy eating habits", so on;

I think that having the last follow-up of the sequence be something centered around 'salting the wounds' (as it is commonly called) by asking why they want to lose weight, then reinforce those questions by before-after story videos/testimonials of people who wanted to lose weight because of reason X, Y and Z.

Then you can send them to your sales page of the upsell of said comprehensive ebook. I'am sure that following this format may even get you higher conversions than if you just hit them with an upsell immediately after optin, especially if you know how to salt their wounds and then offer your solution.

If it really works, don't see why it wouldn't sell. Obviously weight loss is always going to be a hot topic. might be tough to get traffic, being a highly competitive market.

With millions of tourists flocking to the sunny beaches soon, I think it's the perfect time to market such a product.

Why not try and get some real people testimonials, let some people try it, maybe friends and family, ect.

Youre gonna have to invest money in to making this big. Make sure that you are going to use the best marketing techniuqes. Because if you can get this out to people, they will jump on it, which will make you a whole lotta money .
