Thinking about buying a porn site

So, I am thinking about buying my first online business. An adult forum website.
Not quite sure how to do a good due diligence. Any advice is appreciated.

Adult forum...I would skip it unless it's one of the big ones. There used to be a lot of them but now there are only a few active ones standing. The others are stagnant or have completely closed up shop.

Netpond Adult Webmaster Forums and resources

this used to be one of the best adult forums, but it is now quiet

the reason i'm bringing it up is because it is for sale by its owner

(it has been for sale for more than a year)

so if you have some bucks, and you are interested in re-starting a forum that is PR4, netpond is something to consider

oh yes ... another place for info to find out more on running an adult forum is YNOT: Adult Industry Forums

Depending how much you're looking to invest, it pays to do solid due diligence upfront and hire someone who knows what they are doing - otherwise the learning curve is just too much - it's a skill that takes years to learn (and it's usually learned the hard way). I'd recommend getting a basic report from these guys (costs about 100 bucks) and then assessing from there if there aren't any major red flags: Centurica - Website Due Diligence

Also do some research on who/where you are buying from. If Flippa - be careful as there are a lot of scams. Same goes for brokers - some are good, others are dangerously dishonest.

    Good idea.
Apparently that industry is where the big money is to be made.

I would urge you to review the laws about pornography in your home
country AND any other countries that you travel to often. There are some
laws that exist that are VERY broad and can be applied in all kinds of
circumstances even if you have not done anything wrong. You really
need to educated on these so you can be aware of any potential issues.

Yeah, exactly. He might be arrested and executed for that in such amazing countries like North Korea, Iran, Augustinian, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Somali etc..

Please elaborate on your question (buying adult sites)
First, if the site is already an established site with a decent PR, Backlinks etc.. you will have to throw some cash in it.

Second, once the site belongs to you, you're going to have to stay on top of it and contact webmasters to sell links and apply for affiliates in order to make money with site.

Last, I would make sure to check everything about the site first before purchasing because I've made a lot of mistakes in the past buying sites and took a while to get them off the ground and didn't break even for at least 6 months.

    Good Luck

A very profitable niche to get into, I recently sold my adult dropshipping site for £1,300 with next to no work involved.
