"The internet wants to give them exactly what they’re looking for. And people who understand how to channel that tendency will be disproportionately powerful."
    so true...

Man, this article is so true and it reminds me of some things I've read recently. Business isn't about reinventing the wheel.

If you look at almost all successful businesses, all they did was to be better at something-they didn't try to come up with something completely new.

Edit: I love this quote “Here’s the formula if you want to build a billion-dollar internet company,” he said. “Take a human desire, preferably one that has been around for a really long time…Identify that desire and use modern technology to take out steps.”

Yeah many insights in this article...

    1. Remove the extra steps... and have "Convenience" for the people.
But he warns to keep "Convenience" thing real and do not drown in the
JUNK world of SOCIAL MEDIA non-sense of # of retweets and #of likes which not help you create VALUE & Wealth and just distract you from the real technology and oppurtunity you have ... see #2 below

    2. Number of Likes/Retweets are like JUNK food...

"The rub is that we often take convenience too far. “Look at the technology of agriculture taken to an extreme — where we have industrialized farms that are not good for the environment or animals or nourishment,” he says. “Look at a country full of people who have had such convenient access to calories that they’re addicted, obese, and sick.” He likens this agricultural nightmare to our unhealthy obsession with internet numbers like retweets and likes and followers and friends."

Good article, I like how he looks at both sides and I love how he says they help people think less. Its not a derogarory think, it's simply nature, nature is lazy and lazy is what lazy does
