Hi Warriors, I would just like to know what are your top 5 traffic generation strategies that works best for you, and then I'm gonna pick the most chosen strategies and study how it works hoping I could add it to my current strategies. Here are my top 5 strategies: 1.) Article Marketing (Posting articles to at least top 20 directories) 2.) Posting relevant content to Blogs and Forums (I'm currently posting to 5 forums and 20 Blog sites) 3.) Advertise on free and paid classified ads (like usfreeads, ebay's classified ads etc..) 4.) Affiliate Marketing (Let other people promote my products to their lists, but not that successful yet in running my own affiliate program) 5.) Submitting to top Social Bookmarking sites and Web Directories for permanent one-way link (at least 25 each). There you go! So start posting your top 5 traffic generation strategies just like the way I did, and let's see which strategy is being used by more people. I'm also planning to start using pay-per-click, if someone has PPC as one of their top 5 strategies, can also provide details as to how to use PPC effectively. Thanks! |

You should also consider Organic search. It is a biggie and something that you need to consider. |

I totally agree with Easy Cash. The problem with methods such as submitting to top social bookmarking sites or pay-per-click using Adwords will only bring you temporary traffic. For more permanent traffic, build strong backlinks and do SEO for your site to 1st position in Google and Yahoo.

There are so many ways online to increase traffic. Follow following links. Each link will give you a new way for increasing online traffic and make money at the same time. Posting links to forums , i think is a great way for getting traffic.

1. PAY PER VIEW - Cheap as hell and fast 2. PPC 3. Ezines 3. Craigslist 4. Videos - Evergreen traffic 5. When I can be bothered, SEO. Just my view. SEO is probably the best option for anybody to take if you're looking at long term projects, but for a quick fix, just use the first three. |

Viral videos... check out BubblePly.com and put links in any Youtube video then distribute for a viral effect. Other than that most of the above is a pretty good guide. There's no real magic trick no matter what people say! |

It really depends on the product you are selling. PPC is measurable and once cracked you can launch it to unlimited. SEO is valuable in a sense people like finding you, rather then clicking on an add. They will probably stay longer as well. But with google changing so fast who knows about SEO? PPC will alwyas be there.

| SEO RSS In fact on a good day I'll get over 80,000 from just SEO & RSS. To the poster above, yes SEO changes over time but there's many, many solid corner stones that Google and other search engines use, in fact search engines are built on these ideas which have been around for over a decade and chances are they will be around for another decade. If you get your SEO right, there is no limit to what you can achieve because it lasts on your site for a very long time and is the easiest way to get high quality traffic. Best of all it's easy to do and something anybody can do within a few hours. |

What about digg. Is that a good traffic generator? I don't mean getting your own posts or articles dugg, that's obivious. I just mean submitting stuff to digg yourself and leaving comments. I'm asking because ever since I started playing around with digg my traffic has increased twofold. But my bounce rate has gone up too so I suspect it comes from digg...(my stats tool seems to be having probs breaking down this traffic increase)
