Banner Ads and PPV good for affiliate marketing?

Hey guys,

I am getting some results with FB PPC, Bing PPC and Solo ads for Clickbank affiliate products.

Just wondering if it is worth tapping into Banner ads and PPV for Clickbank product.

These methods seems like it is design for CPA offers and not really Clickbank products.

Has anyone had any success with banner ads of PPV? Would like to know!

Thanks!

I've used banner advertising before for my own services. Here's a tip: test and test hard. Don't expect your banners to get great CTRs your first time at bat. You need to keep swinging and not give up. Also, you NEED to have custom landing pages done. Thankfully, LPs are quite cheap due to Fiverr. Get several from different providers and pick which convert the best and tweak that design.

I understand that Banner ads would be a great idea if it is your own service, branding or product because it gives exposure to the public. So whether you get sales or not, you still get exposure.

That's why I'm thinking it's not worth spending money for banner ads to give free exposure for a particular product. I could be wrong tho.

Banners and PPV can definitely work, but PPV can be very difficult and it is nothing like PPC, you really have to treat it as a different beast. Banners (or media buys) can be great, but it can also be very difficult to find a good source of traffic. Have you thought about other traffic sources? I've taken a number of successful campaigns and drove them traffic from free sources like youtube with a lot of great success.

I guess from previous post, I should stick to PPC.

Which is my plan anyways. I just thought maybe I can compete in launch contest but then that means I need to expand my traffic.

I think that PPC is right and it gives you an exact tool to measure your results. Those who are selling ad impresion based on CPM do not have any incentive to provide quality traffic that will click and to show your ad where people will see it.

CPM is the way for bad traffic.

For most cases, YES. Banner advertising is used more effectively for brand awareness. But that doesn't mean you can't get direct profit by promoting other's people product using banner ads.

Ideally, you would want to get $1 for every $1 spent on banner ads. So if you ask me whether banner ads works or not? It depends, but can it work? YES of course, you see there are lots of super affiliates out there who earn massive income just from banner advertising.

You just need to know which niche to enter and how to advertise your angle. Keep testing, you will find gold mine if not sooner

With banner ads the profitability is in the CTR of the banners and finding out which size banner works best along with the adcopy and images. That is enough to get profitable.

With PPV it is all about targeting correctly to maximize your relevancy to your offer in order to get profitable. Clickbank products can also work great on both type of traffic.

I use banner ads in my traffic exchanges and it doesn't cost me anything. All I have to do is click the traffic exchange websites for credits and then my banners will be shown also.

This thread is a tad old but I personally find ppv and media buys one of the best ways for me to drive traffic to affiliate offers.
