  Yes, 'being a vendor' does sound rather grand and attractive.
  
  But all it simply means is being the seller of a product, you have either created or have bought the rights to (PLR).
  
  The term is most often found on ClickBank, who use the term to describe folks owning and selling their own products - as opposed to 'affiliates' who sell the products owned by the 'vendors'.

  Most people want to get their own product, because that means, they will make affiliates promoting for them... which sounds great...but there is a lot of work that goes into this as well...
  
  Getting top affiliates to promote for you is not an easy task, and you really do need at least 10-15 top affiliates in order to make a successful product launch.
