Promoting ClickBank Products

Warning: Newbie.

Hi,

I am about to start a program based on promoting CB products. I am curious as to what kind of results others are getting by promoting CB products as an affiliate? Also how do you rate the payment services at CB?

Thanks for help

    Hi Simon,

I make quite a significant portion of my overall online income from promoting Clickbank products. If you do it right, it can be very lucrative.

In terms of their payment services I have never had any problem - I use the direct payment into my bank account and it goes in every two weeks like clockwork.

    Cheers,
    Suzanne

Thank you all for your replies. I really appreciate your time. So i guess it's fair to say then that CB is a great way to start out as an affiliate online. I understand i will need to learn the basics first and develop some sound marketing techniques if i am to get anywhere in IM.

My first goal is to reach $250p/w promoting CB products. I intend to achieve this through Bryan Zimmerman's method outlined in his ebook "The Newbie Wookbook" that i signed up for in the WSO forum. I like to be real when it comes to building a business. I know earning $4k p/m in online income doesn't just happen overnight but with perseverance and hard work i hope it will soon be a reality for me. I just need to know from those warriors that have honestly set out and achieved this already; Can promoting say 1 or 2 decent CB products and marketing effectively achieve $250 p/w within say a month?

      Thanking you,
      Simon

    Hi Simon,

Clickbank can be great. I've been getting
paid like clockwork from them for years.

But your results are going to vary depending
on what you promote - it all comes down to
the quality of the salespage. Some are just
much better than others at getting visitors
    to part with their cash.

Do some research before you choose something
to promote, try and find the salespage that
moves you personally the most, and promote
    that one.

Obviously it's not guaranteed to work, but doing
it that way is better than just choosing something
    at random.

    Hope that helps.

There are many people out there who are good at promoting ClickBank products and many more who are not. I have about 10 websites that are a perfect fit for some clickbank products. I send approx. 300 hops/month to 10 offers. Two years later, not one sale. Reason: I don't pre-sell the product so the sales page has to do all the work, which it does not. Lesson learned: you must do a good job of warming up your prospect or you will not make a dime. After I'm done with my current projects, I'm going to turn back to promoting CB products and will try to see if I can't get it to work.

      Hey thanks Tom,

You know it's Interesting you mention 'warming up your prospects'. I just stumbled on an article that outlines the importance of providing an excellent review site for any product you wish to promote. Excellent in that as the pre-seller's we must do our best to create a connection with the consumer and develop a quality rapport.

It's always been said that the first ten seconds of connecting with someone is the most important ten seconds of the relationship. It sets a standard and forms a template for how the relationship will go. I think this would ring true online as well, if not more so, because its everybody online is so anonymous. So based on that i would presume that building rapport and establishing a deep connection with your potential customers is vital and should even be high priority when developing a quality CB campaign, or heck any campaign for that matter.

Perhaps rapport could be directly linked with sales? Obviously no-one will buy from some random person just because they had some generic info site explaining what the product is. People do want connections.. i think this is also why Mack Michaels of MaverickMoneyMakers has an exceptional Landing page and is doing so well in CB at the moment. He understands the power of rapport.

Hmm something to think about anyway. I think i will do some research in this area and develop a list of "warm-up" techniques.

Now here's something I am interested. I am a lousy English writer but can always ask writers to use those techniques in my sales pages.

I've used Clickbank with not so good results, but that's absolutely my fault, not Clickbank's.

I've moved onto selling physical products mainly and have some good results. I do promote ebooks, but not like I used to before.

They pay, however you have to reach 5 sales before getting paid.

Haha yeah i'd probably want more than 5 sales anyway considering i have to pay the bank fees to convert into aussie $$! It'd really suck to earn $20, have the check sent all the way over here than pay $20 to convert!

After you have recieved 3 checks from your Clickbank account, there is the option under "account settings" I believe, to change your payment method to direct deposit.

      Hope this helps.
