What's the best way to get affiliates for big-ticket physical product?
I need to get lots of affiliates for a range of new high-priced physical products (luxury, innovative style, designer, limited-edition accessories). I will put an affiliate page up on the website for this product-range, with a very good affiliate deal (maybe 20%), and I want to get a lot of affiliates quickly for this project as soon as it launches.
I thought of doing a "Free-WSO exclusive advanced pre-release" type thing, giving people from this forum a chance to get their affiliate systems in place for these products ahead of everyone else.
Or alternatively trying to do some kind of a JV (for a percentage of the profit) with someone with a list of affiliate affiliates. I don't know how to go about finding and contacting such a person.
Or maybe, if I give a percentage commission to anyone who FINDS more affiliates for me, but is that then defined as a "multi-level" concept and might have legal-type problems because of that?
Presumably, if I email blogs and websites which are suitable for affiliate-selling, some of them will say that such an email is "spam" and that might give me problems? I guess I can leave individually unique comments on their blogs about this affiliate opportunity, right?
Any other methods of finding suitable affiliates? What do you think would be most effective?
I am currently just under a month from the planned launch date of the product-range, and don't have much additional budget for finding affiliates.
