Default Building A Passive Income That Exceeds My Monthly Expenses

Hello All,

There a lot of people here dreaming of making six to seven figures a year with Internet Marketing. Not me though. My dream is simpler.

All I want to do is create income streams that passively generate more income than I am paying out in monthly expenses.

Now, i know that there isn't any truely "passive" income models. But there are income models that require a minimum amount of maintenance to keep them producing.

I don't need to make a million bucks. If I could just figure out a way to passive make more than I spend, then I'd be happy.

Currently, about 85% of my income comes from freelance work, with my passive income making up about 15%.

And that's ok. I have the ability to do something I love for fellow Warriors (custom keyword research) and still spend most of the day with my kids.

Now, like I said, the number I need to be "free" really isn't that much. And the only thing that has slowed me down is just the lack of available time once I'm done with my freelance work.

I share all of these thoughst because I see so many people focused on "making $9000 per month" when they are currently making $0 per month. Now I am not expert, but I feel that once people realize that they really need much less to be "successful" in this field, they can better focus on accomplishing their income goals.

It's a daunting task to tackle on the challenge of making $9000 a month. But how about $1000? Or $1500?

For many, an additional thousand bucks a month can be lifechanging. And what's a thousand bucks? It's just $33.33 a day.

My Suggestion:

1. Calculate all of your monthly expenses.
2. Develop a plan to generate income that matches your monthly expenses.
3. Work your plan.

Once you are making enough passive income to pay off your monthly expenses, you will feel true freedom.

Much Success To You,

KateD

Good luck with your plan Kate, but you should aim even higher than that because afterall in a standard 8 hour office day you would be earning $4 or so an hour to reach your goal. But great advice to start small, it was the turtle that won the race right?

Of course, lowering your monthly expenses by cutting out unnecessary stuff certainly helps.

But that's the frugal country mouse in me.

Kate, that's why I am big on proper keyword research and Adsense. The passive income allows me to take on bigger and better projects while providing a safety net. And if it goes away someday, I will take my traffic and do something else with it.

This is exactly what i have been thinking recently, I just need enough money to pay the rent, bills and food, anything after that is a bonus, Right now I earn $0 but I have hope.

I agree with you Kate. I have this same mindset and goal. I'm trying to create websites and do work that will allow me to keep things as simple as possible and still allow me to pull in around 2K per month. I'm slowly getting there. I mean my #1 priority will always be my family and kids so I won't always have a lot of time for IM. Although I still seem to make a whole lot of time for it.
