Another Squeeze Page Question from a N00b

So I have optimize press and I have managed to create a squeeze page. I would like to have the squeeze page appear before an affiliate offer (i know, i know not the best idea, i'm testing for fun. Humour me.)

My perma link looks like this as of now:

mysitename.com/optinpage or something close to this.

My question I guess it two fold:

1) Is my auto responder responsible for sending my opt in to the affiliate offer page?

2) Can I change the perma link so it seems more relevant for my affiliate offer? Or does optimize press have a feature that I am not aware of?

ex: I made this page on a wordpress site that is COMPLETELY different then the offer I will be promoting..wouldn't it be weird if I am directing my traffic to www.dogtraining.com/optin1 then the offer redirects to a "how to play drums" offer?

I may be explaining this wrong..but I am very confused. Any help would be appreciated!

The autoresponder will send visitors wherever you tell it to send them wneh you set up the optin form.

Within wordpress you can rename pages very easily. Just load the page and click on edit by the page name extension. And save it.

    1. Yes, you would set your thankyou/confirmation page url inside your autoresponder form when creating it.

    2. You can change the name of any Wordpress page or post. Just go to 'Pages' and then edit the page and up the top you will see the permalink under the page title. Click to edit it and then save the new page url.

    Thank you for your help.

I realize I can change the last bit of the perma link. But I can't change the first part which says www.mysitename.com/(part i can edit). I am sending traffic to this landing page and I don't want the url they click initially to be named something different then the product they are showing interest in.

I was told earlier I don't have to buy a new domain every time I make a squeeze page. How do I do this then?

You can do what many others do and use Bitly or similar redirect service. Search plugins on your wp dashboard &. you'll find several options. Doesn't optimize press have their own built-in? Best of luck!
