Help with creating sub-domains

I was told every time I create a squeeze page for an offer I DO NOT have to purchase a new domain and host it as a stand alone site. Can someone tell me a good way to do this? I have googled it but got a little confused.

I host my account on host gator and I make my sites on word press if that helps.

A how to guide for a noobie would be awesome!

Subdomains let you maintain multiple websites for a single domain. www.example.com is simply one subdomain of the domain example.com.

Squeeze pages can also be placed in separate directories, or simply separate pages. They certainly don't require a different website.

I understand that David. Here is my dillema.

My only is called You made it — Just another WordPress site. I recently made a squeeze page in word press under this account for an affiliate offer. I DO NOT intend on using this squeeze page for this site. Can I change the perma link to reflect the offer I will be selling and not my door to door site?

    Right now it is like:

    www.doortodoormillionaires.com/optinpage

    Can I change it to:

    www.makingmoneyonlinetoday.com/optinpage

    Without buying a new domain?

I am worried that if I am driving traffic to a url that doesn't match the offer it will seem weird to the prospective client. Does that make sense?

You're making everything complicated with sub-domains.

Just create a new page or post on your Wordpress website and create your squeeze/landing page there.

    It's as simple as that.

Host Gator actually has video on how to do this. Just go there and do a search
