Want to start somewhere

After spending the last couple weeks browsing around this forum, I think I have an idea which direction I want to go in. But that is going to require me knowing how to build a website, something that I don't have the slightest clue how to do. This will no doubt take a little time.

While I learn the necessary skills before I'm able to even start in that direction, I was looking into providing some simple services online for a little extra income. Fiverr seems to get mentioned a lot as a place you can start making a little money. I checked it out (topic = article writing) and it seems really overwhelming.. there's already so many people on there with tons of reviews. Are there services you can provide on Fiverr where new people have a good chance of being chosen? Do you just have to offer your services for really cheap until you build up a couple reviews?

I am literally brand new to any form of making money online and I appreciate all the help I can get.

I chose article writing because I'm a good writer and have no knowledge of building websites, SEO, or any of those things

Get a hosting company like hostgator as an example

Go to backoffice and install wordpress blog.

You will also need a theme for your site and a domain.

If you don't have expertise or experience in a service already, and that is ultimately not the direction you want to grow, then I wouldn't waste time getting distracted with this. On the other hand, if you have done writing offline or online and see how you can tap the freelance sites, then go ahead.

Regarding your website, you can get a site up by simply:

    1. Decide on and then buy your domain name (Namecheap is my favorite resource for this)
    2. Go get yourself a webhosting plan - there are many that start at 9$-$15/month that make it easy to get started
    3. Install Wordpress - most webhosts have a simple install process from the control panel you get with your webhosting account. Biggest decision here is if you want to start with a free template (there are many good ones) or pay a little to get a more elaborate or customized theme and template design
    4. All that's left then is to perhaps get a few graphics developed (your banner, opt-in box, a few images for the site if they are relevant to your niche)

That will give you the site you want - posting pages and posts from Wordpress makes it easy to create content, sales pages, landing pages, or whatever else your plan calls for.

Start with lead generation. It is good for both newbies and advances affiliates.
You don't worry about selling any products, but only collecting leads, which is much easier.

    Any questions, let me know!

    Hi,

Focus first on providing a solution. Don't focus on money. How can you provide value or, in other words, how can you be valuable to others.

If you choose to write articles...then as an example, you are providing content as a solution. There are alot of people looking for content because... it is a never ending thing to supply new and interesting content for their customers and it is a traffic method.

You can use Fiverr, but their is also blogs that might be interested in your articles and you can post them on article syndication sites also.

But you stated you were going to do the article thing to get money so you can get the required skills. Their are other options such as taking a job on websites such as scriptlance, craigslist, or fiverr and then outsourcing all the work to be done for you on Fiverr for $5. You can charge the customer what ever you want, pay the outsourcer and profit the rest.

Building a website is easy in today's world. Wordpress is the choice for most people. There are thousands of Wordpress tutorials available. First though you would buy a domain name and then acquire hosting. You can download Wordpress from your hosting site.

Here are some business models for you to consider as well from easier to harder:
    1. Buy and sell domain names

    2. Direct linking

    3. Review authority

4.Build a blog and sell it

    5.Build a mini-site and sell it

    6.Subcontract jobs

    7.Clickbank vendor

8.Build a list and make sales from it

    9.Build a massive online business

    10. Management/arbitrage/services

    Hope this helps,

    Rick

Nope. You just need targeted traffic, a good way to convert your traffic into leads, and a great way to turn these leads into new clients. Start with email marketing... bread and butter here.

To get into internet marketing you don't even need to know how to build a website! When i was new i just simply used free hosting services to get started. Eventually you will learn wordpress which is really easy and customizable.

Now a service you can provide would be article writing but that's a difficult niche to get into. Just plod on through and setup your gig and start promoting on different websites!

If you are good at article writing, I would suggest you take the plunge and quickly learn how to set up your own domain and blog. I say quickly because really, it's not at all hard. Wordpress is super easy to use, and with your own domain and hosting, you will have your own little piece of internet real estate to work with. Choose a few affiliate programs you are comfortable with, and write useful articles that help your readers see the value in what you are promoting. Slow and steady. Good luck!

First, you should know that building a blog, especially on Wordpress, is quite easy. You literally purchase a domain name, hosting, set up your domain name servers (that you get from the hosting company), and install Wordpress on said domain using Fantastico. With that said, the most important step is doing research.

If you want to get into being a service provider and ghostwriter to get some money coming in, you might want to check out Ghostwriting Cash (.com) by Tiffany Lambert (formally Tiffany Dow - going through the big D, sales page still has Dow on it). The reason I'm suggesting this is because Fiverr pays too cheaply for my taste.

    Good luck,
    Joey

If you are really scared of Wordpress or setting up the site yourself, have someone on Fiverr do it for a couple of gigs. They will at least get all of the basics in place and maybe even give you a decent theme.
