Offline case studies HELP...

As a newb to the offline consulting world, I have just started getting my first customers.

What I have noticed is that I am missing a great "case study" to show my prospective clients. Something like:

"Here you can see Company X had no online strategy and wasn't bringing in any qualified leads. After a complete SEO package and website refresh was done, they were now getting 5 leads per day, or 150 brand new leads per month"

The current companies I am going after are: insulation contractors, housing, plumbing, roofing, windows, etc. .... so a "restaurant" case study probably not work.

Does anyone know where I can find one or if you have one to share that would be awesome too! I'm sure once I get a few of these under my belt I will have my own case studies but for now I must do with what I have.

Thanks for the Help!!

Why not put up a site or blog yourself? This way you can add every feature you wish, being able then to show your prospective clients what your service is and how it works!

This is what I did when I first started and it still serves me well today!

Just a thought anyway, as I doubt other marketers would share sites with you to use as your own! I would put a site up yourself, you could say it is a customer or simply tell them this is an example of what you can expect!

I have websites I've pushed to #1 as that isn't the problem. With my offline people, they could care less about being #1 on google or having a fancy site as they just want prospects and a high ROI from my services.

That's the type of case studies I'm looking for if that makes sense, not really a website of what I do.

I'd be wary of trying to impress your prospects with other consultants' results. If you don't have results to show me, and they do, why shouldn't I hire them?

Even if you anonymize the case study, it's still their results, not your results.

You need to find something you can point as your own.

      Here's an idea...

Right now you have WSO offers in your sig related to using press releases in marketing. Unless you're completely blowing smoke, and I don't get that impression at all, you have some kind of success marketing with press releases.

Can you twist those into a case study?

"Here's an example of how I used just one tactic to increase real, live qualified prospects to one website. X% of those turned into actual leads. Given your own closing percentage, what would Y extra genuine, qualified prospects per week mean to you?"

"If I could do only half that well, what would it mean? How many extra sales would you make? How much extra profit?"

If the subject comes up, start asking questions to get your prospect's numbers and plug them into a 'what-if' simulated case study.

If you're talking to potential clients in the Atlanta local market, case studies from Nevada, Florida or rural Nebraska or Kansas aren't going to be relevant because they are different markets with different economies...
