Tracking Id to a HopLink Yes or No

Well I'm about to start my first affiliate promotion with ClinkBank. I am presented with the option for a tracking Id. I have read the info at CB but I still have no idea if this is something I should be doing. So I need a little help please.

What is the tracking Id, should I be using one on each of my products, if so, what is the best way to utilize it?

What I'm looking for are details that a virgin can understand.

Thanks for your help,

Zanti

Tracking ID is used to track where the sale came from. For example if you are promoting the same product via blogspot.com and wordpress.com, you would put a unique tracking ID in each hoplink, one at blogspot.com, and another at wordpress.com. Now when you start to make sales you will know which site made the sale(s).

Tracking ID is for you to track where is your sales come from. This is good for you if you are promoting 1 product in many different method (PPC or article marketing) and also good for you to analyze which methods is more profitable.

Thank you very much. So the tracking Id would be something I would create, like wp444 or something like that. Since I am only promoting from one site, with articles linking back to that site, are you suggesting that I don't need to deal with the tracking Id at this point.

    Thanks
