Slidesharing experiments

3 days ago I started experimenting with presentations, trying to figure out if it can help in getting traffic
I made 2 presentations about the same product but with 2 different angle.
So far in last 3 days I generated in total some 800 + views on scribd, issuu and slideshare together.
which is not bad because both documents are directed to the same product,

But what's funny, and I wanted to share with you is dynamic of how people view the documents
I put first presentation .3 dys ago, it got approximately 20 views on slideshare, some 60 views on scribd (and 22 embeds)
but wow on issuu after entire day of no views at all - suddenly there was 350 views.
After that it's standing there for more than 2 dys and is not moving up. Zero views

Last night I put the second presentation on slideshire and got 300 views within an hour!!
In the following 24hrs vews dropped to only 2 or 3 by now. So it's not moving up, the same like issuu before.
That same 2nd presentation did nothing by now on scribd and issuu

So it's funny. I'm trying to figure out how it works and if it's worth an effort.
dynamic of the slide views really puzzles me

Is there anyone with experience, and having more consistent views ??

It's probably not worth the effort.

    Slideshare works well.
Apart from Scribd I never saw much traffic doc sharing sites.

My customer retention and acquisition strategy was featured on the home page - i received 4136 views in 24 hours.

From that I only received 4 comments and 0 conversions for my online sales course.

There are advantages from a link building / awareness perspective but unless you have a way to really capture and convert viewers its a tough strategy to pursue in the long term.

I doubt it. I had in total 900 views in last 2 days, which is not at all so bad.

issuu works the best /comparatively by now
      (3 days and 2 presentations)
which is certainly not enough for making any conclusions

      .
yes, you are right. strange thing to have no significant response to so many views

however, to make slides is quite fun and seems easier to make the point
I'll put some more slides with different angle pointing to the same product, and see what happens

YOu do know that recently slideshare disabled all clickable links from the first 3 pages of any presentation?

Just letting you know...in case you missed this important info!

oh yes I know. This is why I made really attention grabbing slides so it's not a problem if the links and action buttons are placed by the end of presentation.
