For Those Of You Still At College - How Are You Finding Fitting Everything In?

I'm 18, and I'm majoring in Economics and minoring in Psychology. So, yeah, like you said, that *#@%* college works keep getting in the way.

I decided to take the summer semester off just to work on my product launch. :p

I think the best way to balance your time and business is to get a timetable. It helps.

I so know where you are coming from.

I took a sabatical year out

Yeah I took 6 months off as well last year. During that time I didn't become a millionaire so now I'm back

Im not doing internet marketing to fund my whole income. i have way to much potential lol.

Im taking a gap year before i go to university to set up my software company, which is going to be funded from the money i am making from internet marketing. Then i am making software for my iphone and online that i can manage everything from university.

In saying that, i have a free app i am launching in a week or so, does anyone want to test it out?

Its basically a much simpler and cooler way you can track changes you make to your sales pages and websites.

I started my design business last year while in my senior year of college. I skipped my share of classes and schoolwork...haha. I did just enough work to get by and get my degree. Graduation day felt great because I knew all the "work" was done and the fun was about to start. I love every day of my "job"

Some advice from a 50+ a-hole.

When I was in college I could not wait to graduate just so all the extreme pressure I was under would be lifted.

Then I did.

I quickly found that I was wishing that I had never graduated. I wanted back the all of the free time that I had wasted while in college. Free time I did not realize I had.

Now I faced the really extreme pressures of living my life as an adult. Real relationships, real debts, real responsibilities, real expectations, a real job.

I understand that the pressures any college student feels are also real. I understand that a college students minimal life experience leads them to believe that right now truly sucks.

But if you step back and analyze your current situation you may find that there are many demands on your time that you have total control over. Decide what activities you currently spend your time on that are truly important to you. Do not succumb to the peer pressure that constantly calls you to spend time doing those things that do not lead to the realization of your goals.

Of course I also understand that most of you will think I'm full of s**t. You will think that I am just another one of those 50+ a-holes that have forgotten what it is really like to be you.

And that is Okay. Cause if I remember correctly, I thought exactly the same thing when I was you.

If you are a successful business owner (have cash coming in)... you could always outsource your homework assignments Not recommending it, because you don't learn anything (spefically related to the assignment), but I do know that a lot of successful "teenage" entrepeneurs do exactly this. (They tend to have money backing them anyways, i.e., rich families), but they do do that...

I know how you feel...I generally use my free time or allocate time between study 1hr studying then 30min internet marketing. I try to do something in terms of internet marketing everyday. I'm hoping that I can get to a point where I'm outsourcing everything I do. I only outsource article writing and that saves me a lot of time. To concentrate on SEO and link building so it depends.

I started in IM when I was in college and I found it really got in the way a lot. I realize now that I could have spaced out my time better, but as soon as I got done with college I was able to focus on IM much better.

I would have probably started my business earlier and just not done the college thing, since that's what I'm doing now. although I don't regret going.

I was listening to an mp3 with Jermaine Griggs and he mentioned that he finished his degree and created hear n play at the same time, so there is hope out there!

I'm trying to contact Jermaine now to find out why he chose to stay in college and how he managed his time. Will let you guys know what he says if I can get in touch

finish exams in 1 week wooooo! Gonna setup some solid foundations now on the holidays that I can build upon when semester starts again

I'm an older student pursuing a marketing/finance degree. It is very difficult managing even part time school. The main advice I can give you is to decide what your priorities are and then make a daily list and finish it.
