Where to outsource writers for ebooks?

Hi,

Where can I outsource writers to help me write an ebook? How is a good ebook normally created? Should it be I interview an expert in the field and write down the important notes to my niche market or should it solely depend on the knowledge of the ebook writer?

You can find them on Elance/Odesk.

Don't expect your ghostwriter to have any knowledge of the topic at hand. That would be a rare find indeed. You really need to have notes and/or a good outline ready to before they'll talk business.

I personally use Elance and focus on the Philippines.

The more information you give the better the product you will receive.

Ensure the following in your job post:

    1. Revisions

    2. Ability to research your Niche

If you're going to outsource internationally, make sure you specify that you need a native-English writer and expect to pay more than the standard there.

Elance would have a number of people who can produce a good ebook. The Warrior Forum itself would also have a number of good ebook writers

What goes into your ebook obviously will be determined by the people you're marketing your ebook TO. Interviews with the top experts in your niche can certainly bring added value, and you can use them as a selling point to your book, but can also take a lot of time and sometimes money to source.

Good suggestions above. You can also find lots of writers on twitter if you are looking for a little better quality.

Juts to clarify, since I think there might be some confusion here:

It's isn't the ghostwriter's job to do research. We get paid to write, and write well. We will do research, but we bill for our time.

E-book writing is easy, if you already know all the details that you are supposed to write about. However, it can be very time-consuming. But last month, I encountered a good company from the Philippines that offers e-book writing services and they did quite an impressive job on the project that I asked them to handle.

As a writer, I appreciate getting an outline for the eBook from a client. If it's a subject I'm familiar with, I generally stick to the per page rate. If it's something I know I'll have to research more I might add to the total cost, though that's rare. To me, some research is part of the writing process.

Outlines are great for non-fiction content, but can sometimes be detrimental and restrictive (to me personally) for fiction. Not always, but sometimes. I like getting a "skeleton" on an outline, but anything more and I find it difficult to have enough freedom to complete a project as quickly as I normally do.

But again, this is just my personal preference and experience. I am sure each writer as their own ideal way of creating their content.

      Best wishes,

Ethan, please learn to use the search function before posting questions. You've asked a lot of them in the past few days that have already been answered here, multiple times each.

You don't necessarily need to outsource an entire ebook to be written, although you could.

In my opinion your best bet is if you are giving a FREE GIFT away on your site, you can buy what is called PLR E-Books and rebrand them and distribute them with your name on it.

Of course you want to read the rules and guidelines but most of the time that does the trick.

If not I am sure o-desk can offer some kind of service to you.
