How much to charge for a listing on my website

So my site will be live in a few weeks and I was just curious as to how much I should charge for an enhanced listing. I have been reading everyones post on here and the websites look great! I am using the Directory Theme from Wordpress....

I understand that it won't be much because the site is brand new but it is a travel website for one of the biggest tourist markets in the world! So traffic will pick up fast and I have a perfect niche.

So how much do you normally charge for your listings?

The free listings will only include -
• The company name,
• Address,
• Phone Number
• Plus my own personal tip of their business (Ex. What to order or what's the best deal)

Then the enhance listings would include:
• Their link to their website
• Social Media Feeds
• Pictures / Videos
• Logo
• Business Phone Number
• They can get listed in multiple categories
• Their email address
• They can be listed under 3 categories instead of just one.
• They can add a description about their business and or add coupons too.
• Plus more...

Now the site is a travel website where they can find anything that they would like to know about the area... Where to stay, where to eat, things to do and more.

Any feedback will be grateful!

I was thinking maybe $25 a month for the enhanced listing.... but I am new to all of this and a little direction would be great.

Until you get traffic...a listing isn't worth a penny. Once traffic picks up, it will depend on the level of traffic. Pure and simple.

Very true. You still need to wait and see how your website will generate traffic in the future. Until you get to come up with an accurate list of figures related to the traffic that your website is generating, not a lot of people would really be interested to avail of your listing deals.

I am agree with the comments above. I would suggest you to generate reliable traffic for your website first, and then launch the enhanced listing and charge it relevantly to how worth the traffic is. Business need its founder's patient to success.

You can ask that question again when you are already able to stabilize the traffic that you are driving into your page. Then, it would already be easier for us to discuss about your rates. For now, try your best to utilize the niche that you have chosen for your page. Good luck!

You are going to need a significant amount of original content on the site. It can't be just a directory. That would get pretty much no traffic.

The value of your listings and your strongest selling point is based on the amount of traffic you are getting onto the site. Driving traffic to your site, with the ability to track and show some stats should really be your priority..then you have something valuable to offer advertisers that want to put up banners or links on your site.

Optimize your directory site first, until your site have a good page rank, good alexa rank, domain authority. Webmaster don't want listing their site on poor quality Directory even if its free.

I agree. Building your entire site can take a while and driving traffic can be more time-consuming. You just need to wait for the results, first. That is what you will be presenting to your potential clients. Do not expect to go directly to the process of generating profit just yet. It even takes years for others to do so.
