Hello, I'm looking for a program that would help me manage my contacts (partners, customers, leads, etc) - track my conversation history with them, schedule follow-ups, add notes, addresses, and that kind of stuff. Thanks in advance! |

I am coming out with something similar but will allow you to add your own fields and windows to the software. That way you will never outgrow the software because you can update it to fit your needs. | |

Hi I have used Act, Goldmine and Maximizer before - they all do a job, the problem I found with them all is that they can end up tying you up in knots if you are not careful - granted that was because we were using them as full blown crm (customer relationship management systems) and for a simply contact manager they may be ok. I just think the simpler the better where these things are concerned - you don't want to be getting bogged down in workflow. Does Microsoft Outlook not do simple contact management. Anyway you could also do a search on Google for some free software for you to try before you buy - most of them should offer free trial versions I would think. Hope that helps Will |

ACT! Tends to be the market standard but there are a bunch of scaled down shareware types as well.
